G'day mates,here's today's daffynition:
GROCERY LIST:. What you spend half an hour writing, then forget to take with you to the store.

Hello everyone!
May need today, but it's an 'on & off again' type day.
Loving the autumn color!
Chilly, though - just above freezing.

Kayo - I only use a grocery list for holiday meals.
But then again, sometimes I take a booklet I've made of my favorite holiday recipes and use that as my list!
Not the best idea, though... I left it at the check-out counter one time! (The cashier wanted to know if she could have one of my recipes when I went back to get it!)

GMo is off to Australia, and I'm off to Europe ... 2 cruises, the first on the Rhine, Danube and Main rivers, then the second up the coast of Norway. Should be fun, but my contact here and on FB will be sporadic at best.

Change a letter in each pair of words to make new words. Put the new letter in the middle parentheses. The letters read downward will form a new word.

Example:
ANT ( ) CAP ART (R) CAR
TOP ( ) CAT TOE (E) Eat
MAKE( ) PAT MADE (D) PAD

Brew ( ) Soak
Rumor ( ) More...

Back in the principals office, again, this morning. No biggie. Just a concern, that Monday's note home, stated that Thanksgiving break was November 5-9, and Thanksgiving is on the 22. School calendar had a different date too. Kind of looked like were going to take the month off. Then had to point More...

Sheila, talked to Thing II last night. She is with Bammaw and she is not coming home. I did not even ask if she was ready to come home, and that was the first thing she told me.

They did have a run in with a skunk, that has me concerned. One it was out during the day and two, MIL chased it. More...

Serena, you amaze me, really, you have picked up the gauntlet of puzzle-posting with such ease, so few demands...I mean there hasn't been a word concerning 'pay and conditions' (what pay and conditions???). So no more squeaking Mr Cee!

Serena, in all the schools I have been involved in, this has to be the worst. But I do wonder if it is just because I am the parent, and not an employee.

But, of course, I digress...It's the end of the world as we know it and the goodie bag is a bit empty, so time for more choices to be made about what to put in there. HalT, all mothers have an inbuilt mother's dictionary in their heads. All mothers know what their child says when no-one else has a clue. All mothers nod in agreement and understanding when other mothers children use 'unusual' words.

Shiela, I took the weekend off and did nothing but laundry and read a book. Yesterday, I was at a total loss on what to do, did nothing, could not even read my book. I do feel I am waisting my time, and should get up and do the million things that need to be done, but next to impossible to do with More...
