Hi Bluey - thank you to you and Dan for driving us back to the Airport on Saturday. Nothing stirs my Aussie pride more than the sight of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House - spectacular! And thanks for driving past them especially for us, we appreciated it.

"Lest we forget" I played golf today and at 11am the hooter sounded and everyone stopped play for 2 minutes. Someone in a nearby house had the TV on and turned up "Advance Australia fair" It was very moving. We stopped play and listened to the anthem which could be heard over most of the course. Then we had a minute silence.

shosho, my brother in law was in one of the internment camps as a child, one close to Sacramento, California. The whole family was taken out of their home in San Francisco, and pretty much had to start all over after they were released. They were all American citizens. They felt they were being unfairly treated, but never quit being proud of being citizens. I'm ever grateful to be living free.
