Good Maen, all! Beautiful photo, but it doesn't evoke images of sunbathing to me. Our palms are still shivering from the cold! We have one more night of sub-freezing temps before it starts to warm up.

We're having a heat wave! It's 24℉ / -4.4℃ right now, and it's supposed to get up to 32℉ / 0℃ later today!!!!!

That brings back memories of my time in the NAVY. Standing "mid-watches" (from 0000 - 0400). Not all bad. Usually really quiet and relaxed.

Jerry, I remember a lot of you '45ers' from the early 50's. I think I can still find a few souvenirs from that era.

I thought everyone would have the most trouble with 3. Partial answers are fine! Sometimes all I get are partial answers!

I have just posted a joke to my page. It is NOT off-color, but is long and my offend some as being "ethnic." I would agree with that in that it does make fun of a certain government, but it is submitted solely to make fun of the type of c#ap we get from most any government these days. Do as you may...

Just mulling over what the heat is going to be like while we travel - Bloody terrible. But probably not much better if we defer for 24 hours. And the car does have good airconditioning.....

After a high of 43.6C (110F)yesterday, we had the highest overnight temp on record 33C (91F) Today will rise to 40C (104F) before a cool change mid arvo Tomorrow's forecast is for 23C (73F) Thankfully our heat waves do not last as long as the chills elsewhere in the World.

My Sister & BIL went to Tassie on a 2 week holiday, thinking to get away from the Qld heat. Yesterday we had max 30C, they had 36C! he, he, he!!!

It is a continuous thought really of why oh why can I not purchase an egg in the supermarket. I think I may hallucinate soon...can you eat surreal scrambled egg on surreal toast with a glass of surreal milk?...PANIC BUYING HAS TO STOP!! How can I make 'soldiers' to dip in no egg?

Anne, it is like a 'patch' of bad weather. What sort of patch? An eye patch, a cabbage patch, an elbow patch, a software fix?

Perhaps we should give three new weather terms...any takers?
