..and I am just rising and after a cup of tea, or two...will venture outside to see what damage was done by the gale force winds last night. I already know that there were no pots of flowers on the exterior windowsills of the kitchen this morning. I wonder where I will find them!

I didn't hear too much of the storm as here, in France, it is normal for houses to have external wooden shutters over all doors and windows. We have a couple still to be replaced but the rest were well and truly secured before we retired for the night.

Jerry: It's funny you should say that. I was just saying to my mate the other day that I hadn't seen any pterodactyls around recently. I'm sure these creatures are still around. Didn't you see that Spielberg film about a park in the Carry-bean somewhere ? The park-wardens had a bad time there.
