KIM - you are so Klever & Kute! Liked your POST Cereal play on words. Sorry no one is willing to come out & talk about pools with you. I thought the disinterested contractors only lived in big cities like Tampa, etc. Many times we have called for estimates on various projects, leave a message More...

kim, I'll bet you're the sunshine lady at your school.

Judy, I didn't take offense at all. I was just telling the truth.

Afternoon kim! How's the tractor. Sorry about the mix up regarding the chickens.

It is true about Bob...the passing not the cause. I could have taken the joke a little further, he was 69 (years old), but thought that would be really poor taste!

KEITH I am the sweet heart of the school lol

KATHY, that was sweet. Yes, we have that problem here too. My sister lives in Port St. Lucie and every morning I get an email from her about the nightmare she is going through trying to get new windows put in her house. BUT we lost water last More...

KEITH: But quiet and serene definitely have their perks ... sounds like a wonderful town ...

KIM: Do you work at a school, or are you actually a t*****r? Yeah, I bet no one falls asleep in class when YOU are around!

During the hurricanes we lost power for two weeks and when we lose power we lose water---we now have a good size generator!
 |  |
WARREN: Next time just be a little more specific ok? The chickens have dropped their law suit against me but in the deal I had to let them keep my coats---hope this is not a cold winter.
Yesterday I got injured on the tractor, big bruise on my left thigh in two places. But I was on it this morning for a little bit. Long pants on the tractor from now on.
 |  |
WARREN: The suffocation of Hooter's Bob ... shades of Nelson Rockerfeller!
 |  |
JUDY: I am a teacher. My students seem to think I have a lot of energy. What I hear when they leave is:gee the class went by fast and boy am I tired.

I type all my tests, surprise!!

As it should be, KIM!

IAN's hideout has been discovered! He's hanging out in Har now - why don't we all ask him back to Easy for the weather reports?

Some of my class jokes, I know you have heard these
What do you call a mermaids underware?
What did the acorn say when it grew up?
What do you call two people that go bowling together?
What do you do when it is raining?
What is another name for Mr. Cle?
What do you call a broken More...

ANDRE: OK, I've gotta ask ... been putting this off for a l - o - n - g time ... being such an avid chocoholic, how do you mamage your weight?? LOL
 |  |
ANDRE Thanks a lot now I am off to make brownies, just the mention of chocolate! I am suppose to be cleaning the house while the rest of the family is gone.
Have a great day everyone and go and say hi to Iam on Hard.

AP from India Enjoyed your 'Rules of Golf' All very true. My husband was a golf professional, and his work included givng lessons. He oftened ended a session or class with the instruction: 'Don't stand too close to the golf ball, AFTER you've hit it.'

It's even hot here in Ireland! I can't remember it ever being this hot here. There must be something in this global warming thing...
 |  |
Interesting Kim. Recently you claimed anything harder than opening a package and adding water was too complicated, but, brownies? Or is it going to be one of those package things? Or is it just that there are selective things that are 'worth the effort?'

Judy, I don't know if you saw, but I More...

...and we are going up there in about a week.

Oh, KEITH ... unlimited chocolate! I can hear your arteries clogging from here! I've heard that Victoria is a lovely city. You take some awfully nice trips ... good for you!
 |  |
KEITH Brownies are already in the oven does that answer your question? It said eggs water and oil, ooops out of eggs but it is ok, they will be fine.
Not too complicated to do a recipe, just not what I like or want to do, except on rare occasions.
Nal's recipe was something else, did you see More...

Judy - Who worries about weight!! Dark chocolate is good for you and is not so high in calories when savoured and eaten slowly and oh I try to be so good. Little and often!! I have a stash waiting to be nibbled but hold back the urge!

Kim - Save some for me eating chocolate brownies while driving a tractor now there is an interesting thought!! Count me in!!
 |  |
Keith - Did you say you wanted my address so you could post some to me?? I felt sure you did :)

ANDRE Wow that would be great, I might try it after I get this soap out of my hair.

Ok, see what I do when there is house work to be done? Anything else but housework.
Hi dear did you get the house cleaned while I had the boys out fishing? No but I made brownies and rode the tractor while eating them,is that good? Oh and my hair is clean!

Got to go, have a great day/night
 |  |
Ah, I see, ANDRE. You actually have some restraint! I love the dark chocolate rationalization! LOL

Lots of posts while I've been doing some work chores. Susan,Ingham - I've just done a stocktake. There's 20 Packets (individual size) of Ricies, 5 Corn Flakes and 2 Weet Bix.

Judy, will have to look up Mammoth Mtn area when I wake up later.
 |  |
Kim, I love brownies, and could be persuaded to eat them anywhere, even on a tractor!! Especially if it meant not doing the housework. How are you going to get that shampoo out of your hair?

To CP From Canberra--
Since I didn't notice an answer to your question, 'ora et labora' is Latin for 'Pray and work'. It is also the motto of the Order of Saint Benedict.

Sorry I've been so jammed up I haven't been around lately. I do miss the comments, stories, etc. Hopefully things will slow up a bit this week.

Kim, you must be a geometry teacher?

Janci, surely you don't mean to imply that you have seasons in Dallas?

Hot in College Station, but not as hot as points further north in the big state (unless you live in Alaska, the REALLY big state).

 |  |
Hi all, that's really mean - all that talk of chocolate and none at my fingertips. OH OH OH
 |  |
Thanks, Scott - I had worked out the last part had to be something about work, but that's as far as I got.

What part of Devon, Rosa?

Judy - The east Sierra between Tuolomne and Big Pine is one of my most loved areas, but I haven't been able to get up there for awhile. I used to backpack out of Mammoth nearly every year, and led tours through the Valentine Reserve several summers. Is the Old Mammoth Road still rustic or has it More...
