Bob Hill and his new wife Betty were vacationing in Europe, as it happens, near Transylvania. They were driving in a rental car along a rather deserted highway. It was late, and raining very hard. Bob could barely see 20 feet in front of the car. Suddenly the car skids out of control! Bob attempts More...

Do not grieve my friend - except perhaps for the awful jokes that occasionally appear on these pages, and yours today was a real groaner.

During WWII, the Germans used the metric system. He stated miles instead of kilometers.

Cheers! to Greg (who gave me a German lesson along with his answer!), Colo Jim, Angie/Wis, and Glenn.

My mom played a horrible prank on us kids once. She yelled out on day "Does anyone want to eat taco?" We thought she meant the Mexican ones and ran to the kitchen, only to come to a screeching halt when we realized she meant the Japanese one (taco means octopus in Japanese)
