But who's the mother-in-law?

And can we really boot her?

There must be a vaccum over there in the USA - judging from all the wind coming here from that direction.
19/Nov/09 3:13 PM

Gusts of 80mph right now - I guess.

But for now, I am spending my days...inside.. no window... giving H1N1 shots to people who would prefer to be elsewhere. All day I ask the same questions, give the same advise. Children are amasing, most are very well informed, ask very specific questions. Well, I hope those efforts will be bring what is best for all.

In that sense, "To boot" means "As well" and is old English (semi-archaic) and derived from an old Viking word meaning "also"

Rayray, I can see that meteorology is not your strong suit, my friend. If the vacuum were over the US, the 80mph wind would be coming in here, not emanating from here.

Rayray I hope the winds die down soon. It sounds pretty dangerous. We used to call them the August winds here, only now they start in July and go through to October.

Lots of smoke in the sky here but I'm not sure where it's coming from. I hope it's not all the way from the South More...

Good Evening. Smoky here in Canberra too, since quite early this morning. I think we got to our predicted 37C today, and have had some fierce winds too. 4T has got the right idea - he is with some mates, swimming in the river not far from where we live.
