Jon Bon Jovi and Hugh Grant I agree are very nice. Although in last week's Woman's Day (magazine here in Aus)there were a couple of photos of Jon that didn't do him any justice.

Thanks Rose, but excuse me while I duck into this phone booth and change costumes (as I was so excited I messed up my pants).

One additional comment before I run up to the office. You girls and your hunks. Judy, you liked Pat Boone. My sister loved Ricky Nelson. As to us guys, I fell for the Ronettes. When they sang 'Be My Baby' I wanted to be their baby so bad!

Auntcooky/Upstate NY - Your cruise sounds like it was very interesting. It is so much fun to see new places. Did you get all of that snow over the week-end?

The riverboat brings back so many memories. Growing up we would go fishing all the time. Once dad took the boat to the Mighty Mississippi. They don't call it mighty for nothin. That river flowed so fast. I was watching the river more than fishing. Hoping I would get thrown out.

Mary From Naperville, IL: You were wondering if this is the bridge by the Quad Cities. Not quite, but you're close. Head upriver 90 miles and you've got it. This is the Julien Dubuque Bridge in Dubuque, Iowa. It takes US Hwy 20 across the Big Muddy.

Thanks Jim for the river memories and words of the song. My river was the Loddon in Northern Victoria; a slow flat-land river with saltbush swamps sprinkled with cumbungii, lignum and silver blue box eucalypts. The water wasn't blue but the vegetation had that hue. The birds seemed to like it too. More...

Not back at work. One week of walking. There's a big meeting tomorrow and our fingers are crossed. If they don't settle tomorrow, I think it will be a long strike...counting weeks rather than days!

To Debby
Yup--about 12 inches. Much better than the St. Valentines day snow. Then we got about 20 inches. All in all, this has been a fairly dry winter with these 2 storms being the brunt of the snow. I think I'd rather have my snow at 3 or 4 inches on a regular basis. The good thing is that it was over the weekend so I didn't have to worry about getting to work.

To Debby/ MI

Oh--- about cruises, in 2005, we took a cruise of Lake Michigan. It was on a small boat, that only had about 100 passengers. I really enjoyed MI--- You live in a beautiful state.

When the US invaded Iraq, bin Laden threw a party, but there was no beer and no babes. Still, if Gillette doesn't improve their quality, I might consider a beard like his. Sure looks better than bloody scabs.

The next time, if we get attacked from Yemen, we'll invade Cuba. Much nicer beaches and bikinis are OK.

One day, a man came home and was greeted by his wife dressed in a very sexy nightie. 'Tie me up,' she purred, 'and you can do anything you want.'

So he tied her up and went golfing.

I was just eating a piece of watermelon and we were discussing the old wives tale that our mothers told us about not eating the seeds as they would grow inside you. I wondered -

Is that why they invented seedless watermelons?

A father put his three year old daughter to bed, told her a story and listened to her prayers which she ended by saying:

'God bless Mommy, God bless daddy, God bless grandma and good-bye grandpa.'

The father asked, 'Why did you say good-bye grandpa?'

The little girl said, More...

2:36. I'm a Jon Bon Jovi fan too. Bon Jovi toured Australia in 1988, and I couldn't understand why my father wouldn't let his 12 year old daughter attend the concert!! I'll admit to having a huge crush on Johnny Depp when he was in 21 Jump Street - but then again, that hasn't changed either!! ;o)

Don't overlook what's available in your own backyard. It's a great day! My son, the US Marine came home from Iraq! I can finally breathe easier and read the newspaper and watch the news again without being afraid of suicide bombers. I am sorry that terrorists are killing innocent people there but at least I know that my son won't for the while be one of the victims. He'll finally get to meet his son, my 2 month old grandson!

What a wonderful day, SHARON! Is this reunion happening at Camp Pendleton? When are you going down to see him, or are they coming up to see you? The thought of your son finally holding his own son must be taking your breath away! Love to you all! XO
