Grannie-Mo: the 'questioned asterisk' resulted from my esoteric formatting - such that the '*' here means I made an error on the previous message - and the '?' is indioation that the error was that I omitted a question mark at the end of that message.

I think 'indioation' should live on as a sudoku new word. Give me a while (I am going to shower) and I will come up with it's meaning.

Hi Rayray....don't know if I should write in a public forum what affect the gravitational pull has......
Would hate to shock anyone.
Suffice to say it is a very INTERESTING effect...or was that from the reverberations from the excavator?

20/Aug/08 8:25 PM

Update on my friend John who went for the ultrasound on the arteries in his neck today.
He has 50% blockage in each one.
Not bad enough to warrant another operation, Yet!!Heavens that would be enough to worry me I would think.
He is insulin More...

All my overseas stuff goes by ship-mail. Sheep-mail would never get to its destination. It would be munched.

Viv:
What do they do? Wait for 100% blockage?
Then it is might be too late.
Is your John on blood thinners?

Excavation at the bowels of mother Earth can be devastating. Earth gets grumpy as excavation gives her a red-hot colonic ulcer, which she doesn't like. It temds to hiccup red-hot magma and jumps up and down quickly in one place making strong vibrations called quakes. That is why the Earth has joined the quakers.

Grannie-Mo: is 'she-male' a trannie-grannie?
20/Aug/08 9:04 PM
 |  |

Ist thou sure, Rayray, it is quakers not shakers? I am told they do a good line in kitchens!

I am the Trannie-Grannie-with the Cannie-Mannie
20/Aug/08 9:08 PM
 |  |

Is it the shakers that are no more because their leader banned all s*x then wondered why his religion died out!
20/Aug/08 9:10 PM
 |  |

I thought I'd better google the Shakers and yes they practised celibacy and originally kept up their numbers by converts and adoptions from orphanages. As of a 2006 census there was believed to be only 4 left.
20/Aug/08 9:24 PM
 |  |

Rayray: Yes I am pretty sure he is on blood thinners.
Last time when they operated on him the one side was 65% blocked, and part of his neck and face is numb from that.
But he is at risk of a stroke at any time, not a good way to be.

The usual thing to do with blocked arteries tlike those is to stretch the arteries to be wider using angioplasy.
Maybe he should be on pills that reduce the cholesterol that is depositing there.
20/Aug/08 9:32 PM
 |  |

Ohhh Rayray, what a way you have with balls. I have just visited your page and perused the latest pic.
20/Aug/08 9:32 PM

*angioplasty
20/Aug/08 9:32 PM
 |  |

OH forgot to mention that Rayray: yes he is on cholesterol lowering drugs.
20/Aug/08 9:33 PM

Grannie-Mo:
I hadn't heard of shakers before.
My Pa's side of the family were quakers.
20/Aug/08 9:34 PM
 |  |

Viv, would they operate if he gave up smoking. It is one of the biggest causes of this kind of blockage together with insulin dependant diabetes. The 2 together are not good.
20/Aug/08 9:34 PM
 |  |

yes angioplasty. lol I was about to correct you but you beat me to it.
20/Aug/08 9:35 PM
 |  |

I believe the original shakers were an off shoot from the Quakers.
20/Aug/08 9:35 PM
 |  |

Those cholesterol pills work well.
The arteries dilate and constrict so saying one is say 65% blocked is a very iffy conclusion because the diameter of the artery will change. Ciggies will tend to reduce the diameter and the blood flow. Maybe he has poppers spray handy for an emergency?
20/Aug/08 9:35 PM

The quakers are gentle souls
20/Aug/08 9:37 PM
 |  |

Oh dear I should have said that they shook themselves free from the Quakers but my brain is running slowly today
20/Aug/08 9:37 PM
 |  |

Oh yes if it gets too blocked they will have to operate. He was smoking 10 years ago when he had the first operation on one side of his neck.
He also has a shocking cough, its really bad.
He is not really well health wise.
20/Aug/08 9:37 PM
 |  |

Yes GM; perhaps by now they have reverberated apart
20/Aug/08 9:38 PM
 |  |

Perhaps 'health unwise' rather than 'health-wise'.
20/Aug/08 9:39 PM
 |  |

Yes they still do a lot of missionary work or so an aquaintance of mine does. I'm not at all into that sort of thing but I know my mum would occasionally visit the Friends Meeting House and although she wasn't a Quaker she found the place very calming.
20/Aug/08 9:39 PM

Yes cholesterol pills work really well as I can attest to.
My cholesterol was 7.5 and I tried for 2 years to get it down with diet etc.
No luck so am on a tablet now and it is 3.2!
As far as I know he does not carry a spray but as I said if it was me I would be worried.
Okay, bed time More...
