Woohoo! Of all your quiz questions, I only missed one the one about the spider web! I answered D - Your house needs cleaning! At least in my home!

As for Criollo chocolate being the best, I for one am one of those unfortunates who haven't been able to acquire this particular type. Since the last fungal attack, industries have tried to hybridize the Forastero with the Criollo to produce the chocolate with lower bitterness and astringency. More...

I'm not a Bah Humbug kind of guy, but I do believe Christmas decorating (here in the States) should wait until Thanksgiving is over.

i haven't been able to post all day! I keep getting "Page not found".
the 'test' went through, then nothing.
I am TRYING to post a puzzler!

I wouldn't be surprised, Judy. She doesn't take defeat well.
If this goes through I will try again to post a puzzle. If it doesn't work, I'm giving up!

I miss not being here in the past few days.
I am still busy editing.
The gale is still blowing and at midday today was especially severe.
I estimate then there were gusts of up to 70-80mph.
When will it stop?
The gale has endured for about 10 days without much let-up.

I answered all of the quiz correctly.

I definitely qualify for Chocoholics Anonymous - but I like being that way.

I'd give chocolate up - but I'm no quitter!!!

BTW, the spiderwebs on the tree tale is also hailed as the origin of tinsel on the tree.

I subscribe to the diet theory of foods being calorie rated according to their colour. Now I can't remember all of it , but it's like pistachio icecream rates the same as lettuce and therefore has no calories. And chocolate is a universal colour and substitutes for everything and ends up being no calories at all.
23/Nov/09 9:33 AM
 |  |

Also it is impossible to eat chocolate without breaking it in some way ( with a knife, your teeth....) and so any calories fall out of it anyway!

And now, without subjecting you to more overtired psychobabble - I am off to bed!!!!

And on Boxing Day alongside the half price Christmas items will be a huge display of Easter Eggs.
In Oz we have a firm called Darrell Lea which makes confectionaries. They make a Christmas Pudding and Easter Egg which have exactly the same ingredients. Fondant inside covered in chocolate. I always buy up big after Christmas and Easter.

Is it just me in my old age, but with daylight saving the sun wakes me at about 5am. By three in the afternoon I'm bushed and can't wait to get home from work to have a (is it nano or nana) nap.

You say praeteritio. I say paraleipsis. (But I actually thought it was a paralized rabbit.)
I actually prefer to use occulatatio.

If you want weather come to Hobart. We have every variety. Last week we had two days over 30 with bush fires on the east coast. Then over the weekend it rained and we had to put the heater on. Today it was torrential at 7am but now the sun is out and there's barely a cloud in the sky.
No water More...

Saylz, sounds a bit like Albany but we don't have quite your extremes. Saturday I put the heater on as it was cold and yesterday it was quite warm, today hot.
