Woohoo! Made it! Now since dust bunnies can over populate any areas, I must continue my vigilance against their invasion on my at the moment peaceful home!

Me? I was hoping to find a hospice for my Dust Bunnies, but they all seem a little bit too healthy around here!

I haven't heard much about Suharto's death in the US either, but I'm interested since my sister is a missionary in Indonesia...

Dust bunnies, dog hair tumbleweeds, web wisps, budgie seed bundles and dirt drifts conspire together to ensure their continued survival. I have found them all together, hiding in corners or under cupboards, tangled together in their obscene attempts to torture me. No matter how pieces of furniture More...

Rena - how old is your husky? It seems that Ebony is going through a major shed right now, too. Please tell me that this one at the age of 9-10 months is worse than the future ones will be - I hope, I hope, I hope!!

Suzy - you are so right (& so funny in your description!). Yes, there do seem to be conspiracies at work in my house, too!! We now provide "doggie day care" for my daughter's new puppy, a sweet bullmastiff female named Reese. She's only a couple months old & little right now, More...

Maen sudoko friends. My friend is improving, but still in intensive care. Thank you for your loving kindness. Similar stories are happening in intensive care wards all over this planet. Please send your loving kindness to all these unknown people as well.

Rayray - I've been wondering if the package I sent you in December ever showed up? Probably not or you would have let me know. Is your crazy neighbor mean enough to have made off with some of your mail? Could the mailman have left a box in a place where she could get to it?

Kathy. Hopefully Ebony does not have a single rottie gene in her. If she does....poor you. Our Rocko used to shed so much we used to name the clumps as I was sweeping (no vacuum cleaner as he would just hold on to the wheels and I would not be able to run it anyway) "Oh Look Jim; we have a More...

What fun Kathy! I limit our dogs to one room of the house (for the most part) as it has a hard floor and is 'easier' to clean. Somehow the dog hair tumbleweeds still manage to find their way to all areas of the home though. I think they hitch a ride with the dust bunnies and web wisps.

Dino, could your friend's family possibly post a picture of her on their website? I wish I could picture her as a whole human being as she looked before that terrible accident. Amazing things happen in intensive care units where loving caring nurses like my daughter tend to critically ill patients.

CG ... sign me up immediately. We are cultivating many dust bunnies at our new dust bunny mill here in the Arizona desert. Our tile floors thoughout the house are perfect breeding grounds and I thank you for the feeding advice.

Dino - I've been away from the site for awhile, so I hadn't heard about your friend's accident. I do hope she makes a complete recovery.

Thanks for the invite to the Brisbane sudoku gathering. I would love to come. Just let me know the date and time and I will try to find my way from this side of town to Southbank....lol

Dave - they don't have dust bunnies in Arizona. They have "dust jackalopes" - or is that Wyoming?

Dave - we were suppose to get 6-10" of snow this morning. It was late in arriving - so after church & a meeting drove home in the first falling. It has been 2 hours now of heavy snow fall- but the temp out is in the 40's and was not sticking until now.

Mom came down with the More...

When we had indoor cats, we had mega-herds of dust bunnies. Now, even though we have tile floors throughout the house, our bunny population has dwindled because our cat is an outdoor critter. Of course, our back porch (where she sleeps at night) can be knee deep in dust bunnies at times!

It is a few months since we lost our dog but despite vacuuming regularly we still manage to find the odd dust bunny lurking underneath furniture or in a corner that was definatley vacuumed a few days earlier. If and when we get another dog, I'll be looking for one that does not shed (is that possible?)

Dino - glad your friend is showing signs of improvement and yes we should be thinking of all those other people and their families going through traumatic times.

Rayray - I'm not surprised that there's not much in the news in UK and US about Suharto dying. The general opinion of the northern media is that the southern hemisphere does not exist.
Except, of course, the tennis - bet that made headlines.

Jane ... they are definitely dust bunnies. I dropped some pills on the floor the other day and they were not happy when I reached under the couch and disturbed them. Our dogs don't shed so they are really pure breed DBs.

CynB, Dave and others: just for additional information, pet dust bunnies do not really require a companion. However, if they are allowed to roam in the vicinity of other dust bunnies instinct may take over and they might mate with another of their kind. Doing so will not cause reproduction but will More...

I'm quite willing to pay freight to send my dust bunnies to Arizona - or anywhere, really. They need a change of scenery.
I suppose if I vacuum them all up into one big bunny, freight will be cheaper, do you think?

Yes eve, thought of a poodle but agree - are they dogs? I thought I heard that labradoodles don't shed.
So I need a dog that doesn't shed, doesn't howl or bark too much, is good with kids and can be trained easily. Am I asking too much?

We're having fluky weather. This morning had bright sunshine, was thinking I could run outside. By ten we had a heavy downpour, it was so dark outside more like twilight. Now it's 3:30 PM and we have bright sunshine again! The papers keep warning us of flash floods and rain (mind you not usual showers). The weather is sooo schizo!

You dog owners are lucky. My cat not only sheds but likes to hack up the occasional hairballs as well. Ugh! The dust bunnies here have longer cat hairs poking out all over them!

Shosho - the weather sure is schizo and getting more so.
But I'm a head in the sand type person.
When they talk global warming and strange weather patterns, I put my hands over my ears and hum loudly.

The darn cat wasn't even my idea of a pet. My younger son decided for his 14th birthday that he wanted a cat! We went to the animal shelter and saved a playful red-brown-black tabby. My son had visions of having a black cat but this one grabbed his attention and heart. Now forward eight years later, son has joined the Marines, married, and has a family and house but the cat is still with us!

Oh Shosho, you have dust bunnycats. They are much harder to care for. They're finicky and always want to sit on your lap and get affection. Be careful!
