Hugh, great ones today. Gave me several good chuckles.

I'm not sure ALL our heroes are losers, but we've got to be the only country with a swimming pool built and dedicated to a drowned prime minister ...
the Harold Holt Memorial Swimming Centre in Malvern, Melbourne) ... and that even despite the fact that he COULD swim, just maybe not as well as he thought.

This is the 1st time playing and I think I am hooked now. Nice pic of blue bird, which we see in our backyard alot.

3.13, what a nicely balanced number.
now off to buy some decent sandals for the summer and work once we go back. My ever so comfortable Dr Scholls are just totally worn out. Very hard to replace shoes which were comfortable from the start and became more so with use. Specially with big feet like More...

Thanks Becca for the info on the 'Great Backyard Bird Count'. Sounds like fun.

Loza
Dianna Ferrari has an outlet in the preston/heidelberg area or I tend to go for
Homi-peds from the chemist as I have a very high instep and find it hard to get comfortable shoes.

Becca, thanks for the info on the Great Backyard Bird Count. I went to the site, greatly enjoyed all the photos of the birds, and definitely will participate this year.

During my recent visit to Jim from Jupiter/Florida, amongst many other things, we saw many species of bird. Jim is an expert at identifying birds and animals (he keeps an excellent database, hence my list )Most of the birds I saw in the wild, while in Florida, were either in Jim's More...

What a great list, Jaz. As a birdwatcher, I know how long it should take to accumulate that many new species. Well done to both you and Jim.

Hugh from Canberra - Just loved your Senior Cits backchat, and the Australianisms. I've sent the Australianisms to my siblings, as I know they will all get as good a laugh from them as I did, and I've taken the Senior Cits thoughts, and placed them just near the kids computer, as a reminder not to get too cocky!! Thanks for the laugh.

BEV - I am probably going tomorrow to buy the first three seasons of '24' - have been waiting to find them on sale. I have never had the time to consistently watch the show - decided to wait for the DVD's to come out.
JUDY - thanks for the condolences - my Aggies are making progress, they just have a ways to go. I will be pulling for MU to finish in style.

I have a big AARRGGHH for the day - there are Easter Eggs in my supermarket!!!!!! Right next to the 50%off Christmas decorations.
 |  |
GrannieMo, the golf will help I always lose at least 300 or 400grams after playing 18 holes and I play twice a week sometimes more and like you I love chocolate but try to keep it down to a special treat now and again. Notice I said TRY.hehe
 |  |

CP...I echo that AARRGGHH! I thought it was bad seeing Valentines Day stuff already!

We found bluebirds nesting this summer and I was so excited, as I had not seen them here before. We had a problem, though. They built their nest up under a gooseneck trailer, and when we drove the trailer away, the poor bluebird parents flew around in a total panic. We tried to provide a More...

hey rose thank you for the tip!
I will go there for my next lot. I did strike it lucky today and have come home with something - to my great relief as I have long (EU size 42-44) pretty flat feet which are very thin vertically and have a narrow heel, plus spread out toes, so they can be quite a challenge! But nice shoes for work in winter will be next, so I will look Ms Ferrari up.

Hi Loza..yes it is slow here. Has been that way the last couple of days. People have too much to do and then are too tired to get on, I think.

Hello everyone

We have just spent an absolutely lovely day with Angie and her family at the beach.
 |  |

Not with our Lotto winnings, I hope, Col!
 |  |

Hi all, hope you have all had a great day/night.
As Col has just mentioned we have just come home from Queenscliff where we had a wonderful day, lazing around on the beach while the kids swam, played cricket and just had a great time.

And Jaz, wasn't with your winnings it was with mine. ROFL
