Victoria, I'm so glsd to hear that your BIL has returned safely from Afgahanistan. My SIL can hardly wait for my daughter to get back from sea duty in South America in 4 days. I can hardly wait, too, and we hope Garrett will wait that long, too.

But Tasha will only be here for 2 weeks before she ships out for another 3 months...and by the time Tasha returns again, my SIL will have left for his next 3 months out! I guess that's what happens when they are both in the Navy!

Victoria, please thank your SIL for me for his contribution to freedom and our world peace. I may be strange, but I try to thank anyone who has gone to war.

LynnDee, it must be difficult having a daughter and SIL in the Navy. They must never see each other.
I hope Garrett waits until his aunty arrives home. My #1 son arrived just in time to help his aunt celebrate her 21st. He was only 1 week old when we went to her party - it was his first outing after leaving hospital the day before.

My BIL is in the airforce (but not a fly boy) so he didn't actually leave the base. His biggest concern was guard duty which they all had to do. If someone approaching the gate wouldn't stop when asked to, they had to shoot. He didn't think he would be able to do that, especially if it was a woman or a child. Luckily, it never happened.

Cut down on alcohol: Especially close to bedtime, is also bad for a good sleep. Although alcohol works like a sedative initially, it can wake you up at mid night (most often around 3.00 am) and leave you tired and groggy next day.

Too much food can make you sleepy but like alcohol can disturb with your sleep later in the night. Make sure that your dinner includes lots of carbohydrates as they stimulate the More...

Stop smoking: The chemical found in cigarettes, Nicotine, raises blood pressure, heart rate and acts as a stimulant exciting the brain and the body. What you need before sleeping is to calm down and not excite your brain.

is serial posting a natural soporific, appy? If so, is it just for the poster or for everybody else, too?

Do something about your sleep environment: Many people are very light sleepers and even the slightest sound can disrupt their sleep. If your mate snores then ask him/her to sleep on his/her side rather than on the back as this cuts down the snoring noise. If you cannot drown out the noise in your More...

Hello everyone, appy another good one for the light sleeper is to have your bedroom at the back of the house away from any street noises. Victoria/Fernlands my neighbour also in the air force arrived home yesterday as well looks like they were in the same batch to serve overseas.
