I THOUGHT OF YOU
by Mari Parker
I held my daughter this morning,
breathed in the opiate of her scent,
dreamt of days not yet here,
became dizzy with the joy of her being.
I memorized every curve of her face,
touched the down of newness on her cheeks,
and counted, for More...

Heidi, I hope you are feeling better soon. It took me three months to admit to my symptoms and I refused to use the words 'bowel incontinence'. I hated the thought of what sort of tests I might have to do. Anyway, they are now over and the diagnosis is IBS which is better than cancer! So I'm taking More...

Just read in today's LA Times that we're trying to learn the Aussie way of dealing with wild fires. Since they initiated the new way - teach the residents either fight or flight, they've had less fire damages and less deaths!

Not that many people would remember me on this site anymore, but I used to be a regular poster, staying up till midnight just to try and get 1st post, my how things have changed. It's all in your perspective. Having seen some of the ugliness on this site a year or two ago, today was no where near that bad. We are, for the most part, positive, considerate and respectful. I look forward to my time here every day, and thank you all for all the fun, wit, knowledge, advice, support, and camaraderie.

Michelle, I think that in any community there are diverse opinions, and also different degrees of maturity. Immaturity can be in terms of (1)not knowing what's acceptable on this site, or (2) it can be in terms of lacking awareness of how a comment can be hurtful, or it can be (3)in terms of being More...

Speeding Senior

A Florida senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left.

Well I for one love this site, I have made so many good friends around the world. The strength and support shown to me out weighs the hissy fits we all (including me) have had at one time or another. The people here have renewed my belief that there are far more good souls out there than bad. I thank everyone of you for being the best you can be. Viva la difference!
