Bought a new oven when we moved in here - one of those pyrocleaning ones - set the switch, let it do its thing for 3 hours, come back and wipe out small amount of ash in oven.

I always put the wire racks in the dishwasher [balance on top of plates or wherever they fit] The wash doesn't remove the gunge but the steam loosens it More...
