I've now worked out that Yorks is not an abbreviation of Yorkshire, and that E Sussex is south east of London. Perhaps you're weather forecast will be more accurate when we get to The Oval.
My wife knows Ricky Ponting as the company she worked for was his sponsor when he first started More...

Rayray - at 12.34.56 7/8/9 - I was sitting in a cinema watching Harry Potter and didn't realise the significance of the moment. Thanks for pointing it out.

One of life's coincidences: Earlier today I mentioned the murder of three policemen, Kennedy, Scanlon and Lonigan, at Stringybark Creek by the Kelly gang. Just now, on the local ABC program Stateline, this very incident was discussed. It seems documents about the incident have been found among police archives recently. It's strange how these things sometimes happen.

I think Yorks is an abbreviation of Yorkshire. I have always thought so as I was born there and have spent the greatest proprtion of my life there. Now I live in East Sussex

Can you recall exactly what Harry Potter was up to at that precise seminal moment ? !

The weather is extremely variable here right now. This is often so and makes life very difficult for beleagured and accountable weatherpersons whether persons are male or female. In compensation for local, fickle, weather characteristics, British forecasters are probably the best in the world, but More...

When you reach Oval Station on the London underground on the Northern Line a piped announcement declares - "This station is Oval". That is strange! Because most stations are rectangular.

Not far away from Oval station there is a notice that states - "Streatham Exhaust and Tyres". That is certainly true.

I also remember on a wall near there is a daubing on a wall that reads - "Jesus Saves" - followed, in smaller, different hand with the addition " - " -with the Woolwich" (a Building Society).

And, on a condom vending machine in a nearby pub toilet is scrawled the warning "This is the worst chewing gum I have ever tasted". It is an interesting part of the world.

Anyway this is not getting my collasped wall built - see you later.

Ray, I saw on a condom vending machine in London a few years ago the proud statement "Manufactured to British Standard BS 6403" and some wag had written under it "Yeah, so was the Titanic."

Good heavens;
In three + half days they have - excavated and removed about 30 tons of rubble; dug a trench 1 metre deep by 1 + half metres wide by 20 metres long; and an extra trench for the foundation toe that is 300mm wide by 2+ metres deep by 20 metres long; mixed concrete and laid the More...
