Nina and Floss - My prayers are with you.

Carol from Punta Gorda - Are you in Lee County? My parents live in Cape Coral. They are about 10 miles south of Punta Gorda. Were you there during 'Charlie?'
 |  |
Cp from Canberra - my neice's name is Kelly R. I got some beautiful photos of Taylor and his brother and sister in my emails this morning. When he was born he took hold of the locket Kelly was wearing. She wears it as a reminder of the twins she lost 18 months ago. Her hubby believes he was thanking them for his life. Taylor was born last Sunday afternoon so I imagine they are at home now.

Nina and Floss my thoughts and best wishes are with you as you continue your tests and treatment.
Fortunately I get reminders when my breast scan and pap smear are due. Just yesterday I had some spots and moles removed which my doctor didn’t like the look of. I had gone to see her about a More...

Just found this on my computer and thought it appropriate after yesterday's discussion:

JURY - A group chosen to decide who has the best Lawyer!

That picture was hillarious!!!

Debby - We are in Charlotte County. We were in California during Charlie - just lost our roof and our cage - really lucky. The town is very slow coming back but most of the residences are back - other than low income housing - which is a real issue all along this coast. Do you come to visit in Cape C?

ooops! how can i get a copy of this photo? it's so like my sons when they were little.

Wishing you all the best Nina and Floss.

I just had my next ultrasound and the baby is still growing, albeit slower than normal, so whilst I am 21+ weeks the baby is showing it is 19w3days. This means that I dont have to have anything else done. Yeah.

When the JW's call (or the Mormons - sorry if that includes some who read these posts, but they can be a pest too): I have a Muslim friend who finds they turn away very quickly when she tells them her religion. I've noticed that the JW's who call here don't really want to talk, they just want me to More...

Hugh, Looking forward to experiencing a whole new world. I will be thinking of all who spoke so well of the vegimite snack to see if I agree with them. Rose, happy to hear that things are looking up for you. While CP is resting on her past work, perhaps she can fly over and give you a taste of her More...

Just want to thank all who took time to vote yesterday. It dosn't matter for whom, just that you did exercise the rights that so many fought and died to gain for all. I worked for over 15 1/2 hours at a very busy site and was happy to see so many come out. There were no problems and the results More...

Just going home - will post Dumb and Dumber this evening. Shh - still quiet!
Victoria - yes, Kelly has gone home, sorry I missed her.
 |  |
Thanks for trying for me CP. She is a lovely woman with a terrific husband and family. I love whenever my neices visit and bring their families. My S.I.L. is very proud of her 5 girls with good reason. They are all very caring wonderful ladies with fun natures. I wish we could see more of them all.

Mamacita 2, I worked the polls too yesterday. 70% turnout in my district! People felt their votes made a difference for once.
When you try thatt Vegemite, start off with small bits and someting to wash it down. An acquired taste for sure (if you haven't been eating it from birth)!
 |  |
Floss, Rose, and Rose's baby: you will also be in my prayers.
 |  |
Rose
that is good news .... hope it all progresses well for you now.
keep us informed of your progress and we can have a competition when you get closer on when, how big...or small ...etc for your baby too.

goodness had to go and find my SM it had signed itself out!! cant fool me though I found it in the naughty corner
 |  |
Okay, what is Vegemite? Heard it in a song once.
 |  |
Karen it is the tastiest yummiest spread for bread or toast ever. Aussie children are brought up on it. Black as tar and very thick but on fresh bread you can't beat if for taste. You'll never think of peanut butter again once you've tasted vegemite.

Karen, don't believe her! It's definitely an acquired taste!! And even that's not guaranteed. Pass the peanut butter, please! LOL

Thanks to Hugh, I get to find out whether Victoria is right or Celia, soon enough. Taking off again tomorrow morn. Back Tuesday.

God's thoughts on lawns:

God: Frank, you know all about gardens and nature. What in the world is
going on down there on the planet? What happened to the dandelions,
violets, thistles and stuff I started aeons ago? I had a perfect
maintenance free garden plan. Those plants More...

Come on Celia, vegemite is lurvely, but only in small doses!!
 |  |
Thanks for the responses Victoria, Celia... but what's in it? Black as tar and edible? Hard to imagine, or do I want to?

We're happy little Vegemites
As bright as bright can be.
We all enjoy our Vegemite
For breakfast, lunch, and tea.
Our mother says we're growing

Because we love our Vegemite.
We all adore our Vegemite.
It puts a rose in every cheek!

There would hardly be a person out there who has not at some time been affected by cancer, either in their own life or concerning someone close to them. So Nina and Floss (and anyone else to whom this applies) please know that there are many people who are with you in whatever way they know. Some More...

Rola,
Thanks for the info, I checked it out. So it is for real. (Thought you were kidding.) Read the recipes, don't know as I would put it in my quiche.

Just found this site today and I want to thank everyone for a lovely, informative evening. It's almost 2am (the middle of the night) here in southern Ohio.... past my bedtime.

More and more doctors are running their practices like an assembly lines. One fella walked into a doctor's office and the receptionist asked him what he had.
He said, 'Shingles.'
So she took down his name, address, medical insurance number and told him to have a seat.
Fifteen minutes later More...
