Karen, we are about 20 miles north of Beaumont. Not too far from the Louisiana border. Actually a long way from the heavy rains and tornadoes today.
Also hope your Man is safe and did not bring tornadoes home with him either.

This is the second time, I have tried to put you in the Dallas area, no wonder I cannot find you on a map, you are that way, instead of that way.

That is good to know, Hazel, you take care.

Amelia, how did you not know your broke your back?

My aunt's mother broke her neck in November-ish and did not know until around March or April. I would think this would be extremely painful, not to know.

CynB, we like prissy! Amelia, I have a couple of balaclavas you could borrow. Different colors depending on your mood. If you use the basic black one you could be "The Golfing Ninja'.

Alternatively, you could just cover all the spots with big bandages and then you'd also be ready to help 'haunt' at my house for Halloween.

Folks, I think something is terribly wrong.
Monday, went into the FPA or FPR and prepared bread.
Wednesday, thinking my darlings would like a treat, went back into that room and prepared homemade cookies.
Is there something wrong with me? (please be nice if you answer).
Am I being taken over by aliens?

No, just little round cookies, with nothing on top and taste wonderful hot out of that thing-a-ma-gig. Made the house smell good too.

When whatever came over me, I had 45 minutes before I had to leave to pick up the girl.
Being the kind mother I am, I like to take a drink and a snack for the girls for the long 15 minute trip home. Poor girl is starving when she gets out of school.

Two sizeable earthquakes have rocked Hawke's Bay, on New Zealand's North Island.

A 5.3-magnitude quake hit at 4.18pm (1418 AEST) on Thursday, centred at a depth of 20km, 10km southeast of Porangahau and 80km south of Hastings.

A More...

Notice you didn't use the Richter scale Viv. It has been apparently been superceded by MMS (moment magnituse scale) because it was inaccurate over levels of about 6.8 . I cant remember exactly what Christcurch was last week but I think it was 7.4 That means it was 100 times more powerful than a 5.4 earthquake and 1000 times more powerful than 4.4. I'm sure everyone is interested.
