My apologizes, I was drunk so much… ! But, I don’t know what happened to my Mentor… Tough puzzle on May 19/08 is too difficult for me to present as AAIC’s, I found logics to eliminate d8=34 but don’t know how to present it… I’m thinking about Proving Loops… Can anyone help?

15:56 Maen! That was a pretty easy Tough and it still took me almost 16 minutes :( Is this part of that little village built at Versailles for the queen's amusement (can't remember the name)?

Hi ttt,
I also found this puzzles too difficult. I have realized a very interesting fc (9 strong links) that I want to share with you and the others:
1) Start at 23,=>UP=25
2)XW(6) at fg28, =>f18,g3<>6
3)hp: e3f2=26, More...

Hints:

1) fc on 1's -> 42 UP

2) Find proof(s) of weakness in 8f5 (within strong hidden triplet 589f456) -> UP 81

In both the above strategies I've found the visual representation of (strong) links in SudoCue of inestimable help. You don't have to let it solve things More...

A further musing along the painful way:

Often, a way to crack open a tough puzzle is to concentrate efforts on cracking a native strong set, whether naked, hidden or almost.

Got this one without guessing (for a change):UPs:i8=3,e3=8,e1=9,e2=3.Because d,f1=4,7;d,f2=1,2;d,f8=2,7;d,f9=4,8;h,i7=4,7.UPs;b3=7,g3=4,i3=1,h3=3,a3=2,b2=3,a4=3,d6=3,a2=4,d5=6,b 6=6.Because c1,2=5,6;h1,9=5,6.UPs:c8=1;e9=1.Also e7,8=5,6. Whether c6=4,8;h6=1.UPs h5=2;h4=4;h7=7;i7=4.Whether h6=7,9;a5=8.The rest are all UPs.Thanks to those members who have welcomed my first comment here.

Hi sotir,
Thanks, but I'm not sure how you can UP33 (tough puzzle on May 19/08), many of your steps are invalid... as yesterday puzzle your step 2 : (2)g56=(2)f8 then you concluded f56<>2 - That is wrong, g56 & f56 is not the same Box...
(2)g56 meant g5=2 OR g6=2 (can't both)
- More...

Hi ttt,
Thanks for your help. Your explanation was very
clear.Step 2 (puzzle 20/5/08) is invalid.I'll tray
not to make this kind of mistakes.
As for 3 other UP's (puzzle 19/5/08),I have to revise and when I'll be sure,let you know.
Sotir.

This is the FIRST Tough puzzle I've completed on my own with no help, so I rewarded myself by signing up as a member. I can get Easy, Medium and Hards no problem. Hmm. I can't figure out what I did "right" with this tough to do it again. Is this one just an "easy tough"?
