6:45 Maen! Gorgeous sunflower! Pretty easy tough -- basic techniques almost the whole time (only had to "think" once...). Sorry, but no singing today -- no cruise pictures!

A sunflower would not last long in my garden with the cockies and lorikeets. A lovely detailed photo.

Sunflower is OK. But I guessed twice on a two number square!

One possible path for this not-so tough tough:

1) Start at 23 filled, the given puzzle. Unique Possibilities (UP) to 26.
2) (hidden pair 13)ab9, => a9<>79, b9<>9, e9<>1. UP 26.
3) (4)g456, => h456, i45<>4. UP 27.
4) fc(5's): h1 = e1 - e9 = d7, => h7<>5. UP 29.
5) (triple 123)a139, => a5<>123, a6<>13, a7<>2. UP 81.

s/b: 1) UP to 25

This solution is similar to Dave's, but in different notation: i7=6; a8=6;If h1=4,there would be no 4's in the top right hand square, hence i1=4.Pair 13 at ab9.Triple 123 at a139, hence triple 789 at a567. Now a5=8, i5=1 etc and unique possibiliyies to 81 .

Forgot one step after Pair 13 at ab9. 5 is either at e1 or h1 and in either case, d7=5.

Sorry, also forgot d7=9 after pair 13 at ab9.

Not my day today.d9=9 (not d7=9).

sue b ... they're actually speaking in code. I think this one is plotting world domination using a sudoku game, a slide rule, whipped cream and 10 big palm trees. Oh, yeah, and an enraged wildebeest.

Basic techniques and a chain invovlving fives did it. Looks like it was the same idea as in Dave's proof, but I was certainly beyond UP26 at that time. Apparently the fc was available much earlier.
