Was this puzzle able to be solved without forcing chains? I think I did it, but sometimes I go back later and can't replicate my solution.

OK.... so here I am working this puzzle and it's taking forever -- over 30 minutes. I get frustrated and bored, so I decide to pause and read the comments. Good grief, it's easy for everyone else!!!!!! I reset everything and start over..... 12:29! I've always been good at making easy things into difficult ones!
