Just delightful - serene and beautiful. I'd like to be there and soak in the scene. - We're not talking about the puzzle here (which I haven't attempted) but the scene. Thanks to the photographer.

1. Start at 23, unique possibilities (UP) to 28.
2. locked 1's at df7 forbid gi7 = 1.
3. b8=5 == b6=5 -- b6=4 == g6=4 -- g23=4 == {triple 378 at g123} -- g6=378 == g6=5, forbids c6, gi7=5.
4. pair 13 at gi7 forbids c7, ghi=3. UP 81.

10:34 Good Maen to you all. I thought this was a very straightforward puzzle. That photo is quite wonderful. I would be sitting on that dock, if I were there.

Hi Dave,
Very nice for your step 3, but some typo :
g7=378 (not g6=378), forbids c7, gi8=5 (not forbids c6, gi7=5)

 |  |
Oops, more : g7=5 (not g6=5)
Dave's step 3 : b8=5 == b6=5 -- b6=4 == g6=4 -- g23=4 == {triple 378 at g123} -- g7=378 == g7=5, forbids c7, gi8=5.

Dave and ttt,

My proof is so different from yours that it makes me wonder if we worked the same puzzle. Unfortunately, I didn't write down all the steps--just notes--and it's possible my grid wasn't accurate. (I do that way too often!) Also, I worked today's tough in sections as I filled More...

Hi Joanne,

Sorry, but I cannot follow your XY-wing 1&2 => your XY-wing 3.
Dave's step 3 mean that :
1- If b8=5 => b7,gi8<>5
2- If b6=5 => g6=4, g123=378 => g7=5 => b7,gi8<>5

Now, in Vietnam near TET Holidy (Lunnar New Year) then every people... bz, bz ...bz. But I'll try to post my way to solve puzzles on this Site.
