I must have missed a possibility - once all the detailed only spot boxes had been found and with locked doubles and triples, it fell apart.

11:14 I'd love to find a way to use pansies at "eye level" around here. I once had a pot I used as a centerpiece on a picnic table and that worked well. I guess I'll have to plant them in hanging baskets of trailing greens -- but where to hang the baskets?

maen all! this puzzle, when printed out, was actually not that hard...seems i have a hard time keeping track of possibilities on a screen. took about 20 min. on paper after staring with no clue, except the few freebies given, on laptop.

Took about 15 minutes, with one lucky guess near the end.

1. Note pair 27 at ef9.Unique possibilities to 54.
2. If h1=7,h4=5.Also,h1=3=i8,g1=7=h8 makes h4=5.UPs to 81.

AIC for Alfred's idea:
2) (5=7)h4-h1=g1-(7=6)g8-h8=(6)h6,=>h6<>5.UP=81
