Nice surprize to see Keyan's name. But who else has been to Dubai? (Besides my son in 2001 in the US Navy.)

A 'shopping' festival? What's that about? I sure don't think shopping when I think of Dubai -- I think sand, sand, and more sand. But then again, I've never been there.

Janci, the sand is a substrate for shopping malls. Huge shiny architect-designed and decorator-accessorized malls with every big name in luxury retail. And all the big names in middle market. IKEA. Carrefour. Starbucks.
The Festival lasts a month, and they have fireworks *every night* at 8 p.m.

Great to get fireworks after my game!!!

I suppose in Australia we have a shopping festival and it lasts about a month, but we don't call it a shopping festival as such, just Christmas. Great for shopkeepers.
