Anyway, gb, do you have any idea about what brand of generator program they use for their sudoku's?

please forgive my vocabulary, 'bizarre' is a french word I used instead of 'weird' thinking both were almost synonyms...
As for the generator, don't know which is used, but as I previously said, this one is a relatively lazy one, as it has not given us a really new puzzle since 09/24's (which today's is a clone)...

You guys are full of fish eggs if you think that was easy. I finally stopped the timer after 25:00.

Still can't get the tough ones without guessing...I get about halfway through and then I am out of logical moves. I looked at the proof but it doesn't make any sense to me.

any way to solve without moving rows and columns. looked at proofs but am stuck after logically getting only 8 numbers

after b9=6%block, g5=6%block, h1=6%block, make sure you see than you can eliminate following possibilities : {i2=7, i9=7, i8=7}, {d2=8, e2=8, f2=8}, {e8=1, f8=1, d8=1}, {f4=1, e4=1}, {g9=7, g8=7}, {d9=4, f9=4}, {a2=9, c2=9, a1=9, c1=9}, {g2=4, i2=4}, {i8=5, i2=5, i3=5}.

This one was easier than the hard one today! got it in 11.46, and the hard one in 15 plus minutes. They are wonderful, I love this site, thank you to those who generate them every day.
I also look forward to the most (sorry to say), the Samurai one in the Melbourne Age Newspaper on Saturdays which is a five in one - any chance of getting these online daily too? Cheers

i can see what you say first but get stuck on {i2=7, i9=7, i8=7}, {d2=8, e2=8, f2=8}, can't see how to eliminate them so i'll just have to wing form here.

oops! can see the 7's bit but it's the 8's i'm stuck on {d2=8, e2=8, f2=8}, {e8=1, f8=1, d8=1},

blast! thought i saved that but when i went back to it it was all gone. can see most of it now as you said but don't know where to go from there, will keep trying coz i'm persistant.
