This is getting ridiculous!

Three things made me 'smile' (rather than laugh) today:
1. Negative biopsy result
2. Finding amalgam fillings are not as dangerous as I thought they might be
3. The earthmover that rolled over will be back in action by Monday

Ray, a negative biopsy result is a very good reason to smile.
ps Glad the driver of the earthmover wasn't hurt.

Yes, I smile about the biopsy, Gail; and the driver had already told me before the accident that the machine bounced him around quite a bit. He was shaken (in all senses of the word) but I understand he didn't even sustain any cuts or bruises. Lucky I think.

This month - Spending time with both hubby's and my extended family at two separate gatherings.

I called the Swine Flu hotline - all I got was crackling

I heard that the first symptom is that you come out in rashers.
Another is that you get the trotts.

Apparently my mate's got Swine Flu, but I think he's just telling porkies!

The only known cure for Swine Flu in humans has been found to be the liberal application of ‘oinkment’.

I just heard on the news that, "Swine Flu could potentially be a threat to every single person in the world". Well it's a good thing I'm married then, isn't it?

They've quarantined a pig farm in Western NSW because the pigs have caught swine flu fromthe humans. Duh.

We have things called 'sick leave'

Why did they slaughter millions of chickens for the chicken flu and not the pigs for swine flu? Or is it just a name? Like Asian flu and Spanish flu?

GMo If that was a serious question, the pig flu had already mutated and crossed species whereas the bird flu had not crossed species and they were trying to prevent the virus mutating and that happening in case it developed really serious symptoms.

Hello - back again, nearly 14 hours after my last post, of which I spent nearly 12 at work!

Was meant to start at 1300, but got a call at 0945 asking me to come in ASAP because the place had exploded!

Got to work at 1030, and left at 2200. Had lunch at 1500, and a bit of dinner at 1900, otherwise was flat chat. Spent 3 and a half hours in theatre, doing 2 C/S - or mostly waiting for them to be done!
