Sounds like my mother's style of 'telling' my dad about purchases. She would bury the new items in the closet for a while. Then when she wore something and he inquired if that was new, she would say, "This? It's been in my closet for months."

Sheesh, my windows are dirty. I love this time of evening where the sun is getting low in the sky, but it really exposes the dust on the windows. Has anyone tried that spray window wash stuff (where he opts to clean pool and she does the windows)? I wonder if it really works. Sorry for the reference to an American commercial, I just can't remember the name of the stuff...

It is Windex, I remember because I like the birds. I used it on the upstairs windows, but never had time to go up and see if it worked. Now, I think it maybe too late, since I did it before Thing II got here. The container now needs to be dusted. Like that is going to happen.

Now that those heath...I mean darlings are finally in bed, I can play.
Shannon, because of an evil streak I have, I never put things in the closet, then bring it out later and say "this old thing." I just put it out in plain site and he never noticed or notices.

As for More...

Last week we bought some Wet and Forget to clean our paths and driveway and hanging from the lid was a label with these instructions.
YOU shouldn't open this bottle until you have read the instructions throughly.
Yes, Yes I know you think you know everything,
your uncle told me about you.
But for once in your life read the instructions okay! All right! Well go on!!

Advice from Curtis & Leroy:

Limit all U.S. politicians to two terms..

One in office
One in prison

Detroit and Chicago already do this.

Water or Coke?

WATER

#1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated..
(Likely applies to half the world population)

#2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is mistaken for hunger.

#3. Even MILD dehydration will slow More...

COKE

#1. In many states the highway patrol carries
two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

#2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days.

#3. To clean a toilet: Pour a More...

Jerry, you're such a killjoy ! Does a large slug of rum in the coke help offset the bad stuff? Jane, Nadal's 'match' isn't what you were staring at. My tennis neighbors are gaga for him.

I'll have water thanks, Jerry. The things you learn on this site.

Amelia, we could use that label on about a million things...and my mother does the opposite, waits till we're in a room full of people and then says, "Isn't that the outfit that I bought for you?" ( Because I certainly can't be trusted to pick out my own clothes)

Jerry, you missed an important point about Chicago politicians. They use to do the office term first, then the prison term. The new batch is working on just the opposite. This year's senator selection is taking "the lesser of two evils" to a whole new art form. I've been working overtime trying to get my parents the hell out of that state!

If coke is such a cleansing agent, how come when those medical professional people want to clean out your system, they give that horrible tasting stuff, why not just hand out a coke instead?

As a member of a family with serious gastro problems and thus frequent colonoscopies I like that idea, Karen. because geez, that stuff you have to drink is n-a-s-t-y!

Sorry Jerry, but really there was no drama today, so I had to stir up myself. Sister's response is going to start major rumors, the old cow, she gave the illusion on FB that there could possibly be a Thing III!

I agree with every fiber, Shannon. I had that stuff once and the taste, or smell or the effect has never been forgotten. It has been yyyyeeeeaaarrrsss, since I had to go through that experience.
I don't want to do it ever again. It was no fun.

01/Sep/10 2:32 PM

Thought you might like that one, Shannon, just hope Jerry did not snort again and was finished eating.
Have you counted today. For some reason the list of things to do, was empty today, but things were done anyway. I am a firm believer if it is not on the list it does not get done.

Should finish my thought up there.

So, I did not have time to count.

Was thinking, that between October 2008, might have been November, till June 2009, it was probably a good thing the Phantom did not post. He would have had to get out his calculator.

Puzzles done, beauty treatment done, closthes laid out with undies...I think everything for the day is complete and only 11 minutes late. Well, whatever wasn't done, can be put off till tomorrow.
Shannon, I waited for your multiple posts, but that can be read tomorrow.
