It was interesting, I was reading a magazine that my sister got for my Mom, they have addresses in the back for -- Card parties -- send a birthday greeting, or just a day of cards - I would enjoy doing that.

In honor of our rapidly-approaching 40th anniversary, I have repositioned our wedding picture in my gallery (the "then" photo) and also posted a "now" picture. I will also try to post some pictures of my shell collection - but probably not for a couple of weeks.

Oh groan, it's that time of year, I get to make a fool of myself. The school talent show is this Friday and the teachers always form a rock and roll band. I always try to hide but invariably, the leader of the band (he does gigs by evening, teaches by day) stalks me and drags me moaning and More...

Now they're telling me I have to dress in a mini and in black. yuck! We're singing Twist and Shout and La Bamba. The second singer can't even pronounce the Spanish words properly. Oh cringing moments!

Had to laugh when I thought about Jane's comment on Heidi's seashell collection being discovered in later years.

I am still up. And I have shell collections. The best ones came from Roatan, an island off Honduras, and from Tamarindo Beach in Costa Rica. I just like to rummage through them and remember those great days. No fancy case but Heidi, yours sounds impressive. Hasta manana.

Hello, all! I'm another collector of both sea shells and rocks (not like the ones Mo collects). I don't have a lot, but I enjoy them. I had not heard before about "lucky rocks." I wonder if Mr. Google has.

I think in Australia we normally call them lucky stones and they are usually coloured quartz smoothed and rounded on the beach by tidal action.

I have a few elephants too but had to stop because there isn't a coffee table big enough to display them all, plus they wouldn't stay still!

I now am the 'keeper' of my mother's paperweight collection. They are here awaiting distribution to all the members of the family as mementos.

It is a lovely keepsake Mo. My father gave one to each of my mother's sisters. On Tuesday, hubby and I had the great pleasure of meeting up with an aunt and uncle who live mainly os and I presented her with a paperweight and she was most touched.
