Now due to the budget crunch, I'm going to try my hand at making Christmas cookies for gifts to colleagues. I'm not much of a cook soooo. . .
I made gingerbread cookies once for my students. The cookies looked great but were harder than rocks. So I bought store cookies and gave those to my More...

I got another gingerbread cookie recipe, one for Kourambiedes, and am trying to figure this one called Bulgias. Does anyone know the name of the ones that are white, light and fluffy, crispy, and covered with powdered sugar? I think it something wedding cakes? I'm trying to find the recipe for it. And also the Dutch one with almonds?

I love sharing the sidewalk with you, Shosho.
I have a cookie exchange Tuesday. I need 4 or 5 varieties, so I'm thinking Pinwheel cookies, 3-alarm Gingersnaps, Magi Almond cookies and Iced Chocolate Walnut cookies.

shosho - check out page 51 in the Sudokudos cookbook. There is a recipe for chocolate chip spice cookies that I got from a friend. These cookies are fabulous! And they're pretty, too. After they bake, the tops of the cookies get all crackly.

Wish I could stay to chat, but I have to get back to my Christmas cards. Why on earth I'm making cards that require multiple parts and assembling with ribbon I have no idea!

It is a film with very little dialogue and tells the story incredibly well in visual More...

A bit of summer beach to warm my tush. Not fun taking the dog for his walks, esp. when he has a bit of diarrhea. I didn't put up very many Christmas lights this year, but half of my porch lights are now dark! Why? Every year I put them away and then 11 months later most of them are not working!

Another favourite is 'The Little Drummer Boy'.
Remember learning and singing that when I was in the Dutch Children Choir when I was 7.
'The Three Drovers' was when I was 9 in Sunday School, and was sung in front of the Church Congregation.

Hey, I am a great/grand aunt again! This one is extra special. Their first, who is now 8, is supposedly autistic (my sister and I don't believe it - she was hugely oxygen deprived during birth and the hospital clammed up - CP would probably know) but they were never game to have another child in More...
