Oh! I just love those lighthouses!!! Thanks!

They have a bed and breakfast in a real lighthouse up on Lake Superior. Sometime I would like to go up there and spend the night!

I also find lighthouses fascinating!

The first three posters all Michiganders ... that's what happens when you're bored and in mourning because your hockey team bit the big one in the game that really mattered ...

We have, several times, spent the day driving to and touring lighthouses. Fun.

Good Morning Judy! Yes, it was a sad game for Michiganders!!!!!

The "Motor City" could use some good news for a change!!!! There is too much gloom and doom right now!

Thanks for the tag, Aimee -- here goes...
1) I am severely addicted to ice cream. I truly think that I could just eat ice cream for the rest of my More...

Our current temperature is 58° (F) and it is trying to rain. (about 14° C) That is cool for us for this time of the year.

Good Morning Worldly People.

My deepest apologies to the ones that check up on me. There was a spot on the couch that looked really good just before change over, so I checked it out. It was a wonderful spot. I went sound to sleep.

Had me worried there Karen!

Sh, I think everyone is still asleep this morning or I am here early.
Love the lighthouse.

Good Morning everyone. I am not usually here this close to turnover time.

Many years ago our family spent the night in the lightkeeper's cottage at a lighthouse on California's north coast. It was such fun!

Aw, John ... did you not notice that I included MYSELF in that group?? I think that you misinterpeted my comment! We went to a lot of effort last night to watch the Wings. There is no TV up here in the mountains, so we sought out the only nearby cabin with a dish! My childhood heroes were Gordie Howe and Al Kaline ... unlike today's sports heroes, they were men worth being adored by childen.

So sorry, my dear friend. But if you had been in that spot on the couch you would have snoring and drooling too.
Matter of fact, that spot is still there. Just a mere 7 steps away. That is not too far.

You left for the mountains with no fanfare, Judy!
I want you to be very careful I had no idea B.F. was so inclined, so you may be safe. But, you never know....

Kathy... when were you in Kentucky to take that picture? That shack is about 3 miles down the road. Seriously.
14/Jun/09 1:55 AM

Oh no, Kathy ... are you telling me that my hirsute, arboreal lover swings both ways? Our cabin looks a wee bit better than that, but it isn't much bigger!

Good afternoon to all! Did anyone ever read Ray Bradbury's short story "The Foghorn"?
An excerpt:
"'One day many years ago a man walked along and stood in the sound of the ocean on a cold sunless shore and said, 'We need a voice to call across the water, to warn ships; More...

A True Friend Is A Work Of Heart.

To all my friends and relatives who have sent me best ‘wishes’, chain letters, ‘angel’ letters or promises of good luck...

NONE OF THAT Shh HIT WORKED!

Could you please just send cash, vodka, chocolate, Italian food, wine, or airline tickets instead?

Thank you!

I was tagged yesterday, so here goes:

1. I enjoy reading and playing games of skill, and since retiring, I can easily read two books a week.
2. I rarely watch television anymore except for news, sports events and old movies on the history or science channels.
3. I haven't been in a More...

I'm going to use that, Jerry, the next time I get one of those e-mails!

Ethel and Mabel, two elderly widows, were watching the folks go by from their park bench. Ethel said, "You know, Mabel, I've been reading this 'Sex and Marriage' book and all they talk about is 'mutual orgasm'. Mutual orgasm here and mutual orgasm there - that's all they talk about. Tell me, More...

I'm gonna use it too, instead of just deleting the e-mails.
