I am not complaining. I am doing a happy dance. Got two outside telling the hay people how do run their tractors and one snoozing on the couch and best of all it is nap time.
Happy dance all the way to my bed. Yippee.

Okay, I have been a little concerned for several days about the impending arrival of Lynn Dee's grandson and all the helpful suggestions from people about how to induce the birth. If you read my next post you will understand my concerns....

A baby was born that was so advanced that he could talk. He looked around the delivery room and saw the doctor.
"Are you my doctor?" he asked.
"Yes, I am."
The baby said "Thank you for taking such good care of me during birth."
He More...

From birth to death...

Ol' Fred had been a religious man who was in the hospital, near death. The family called their preacher to stand with them. As the preacher stood next to the bed, Ol' Fred's condition appeared to deteriorate and he motioned frantically for something to write on.

I thank those people who, by acknolwedging my post earlier today, have let me know that I still live, and am not some kind of ghost helplessly hammering on a one-way glass partition separating the real cyberworld from some remote never-never land invisible and totally silent to worldly folk.
I enjoyed the jokes today - especially the one about Ol' Fred

I do think Kathy did a wonderful temping job while I was away and I think to keep her in practice and for her not to lose this valuable experience she really should do the weekend shift on here from now on, as well as the public holiday one, the 'Fiona's got visitors' one, the Xmas Day one, the More...

Now that I have had a two hour uninterrupted nap. (oh what heaven). I remembered that I have a fact to spread around. Not one to mention names unless it is a rumor, but my former prego buddy's second girl is turning 6 today.

Re Fiona's and Kathy's riddles - I actually found Kathy's easier to do - as I told her maybe we think alike. No complaints, Fiona, I'll still do yours when I can.

Great jokes today - have had some good chuckles.
Thinking of Shosho's jellyfish joke and Greg's mosquito bite reminded me that yesterday, when hubby and I went out to do some errands, he started to get very 'uncomfortable' in an area which a man can't scratch in public. It got worse and worse More...

Jamie is there a problem with a 3 year old taking care of a 7 week old?

Really, I see no problem in giving a child responsiblity. (I really must stop this--there is possiblity of T-storms--oh that is a joke too, it is August--but we did just have our hay cut and it is not bailed yet, so a good chance for rain).

I think that giving children the right level of responsibility at the right age is excellent. However it would (ad absurdum) be wrong to provide a child with power of cheque signatory at the age of 2, because the signature would be easy to forge. I despair at the way some parents nowadays support a More...

Rayray - you are probably right about the answer phone messages.
However, my son's answer phone message is my 3yo grandie saying - 'We're not here (long pause) leave a message, bye' - probably very annoying to strangers but cheers a grandmothers heart every time I hear it.
