Jack Benny was a special man, all right. He was the exact opposite of his radio persona... kind, generous beyond belief and totally unselfish. He and his wife, Mary Livingston, had a perfect marriage. The people who worked for him were the highest paid in the business. On his shows, he gave the More...

It does not count.

Hi, all. Burl and I have been under the weather the last few days with a winter cold. Since the ladies at the JaneJam met her, I'll mention that Starr's 22nd birthday is today. Not that she can enjoy it much, as it's finals week and, between her own classes and the students she's been tutoring, she's been putting in very long hours at school.

Ten thousand years ago the first humans came to North America by crossing over from Russia to Alaska. They hadn't actually intended to do this. They got lost and couldn't get their Berings Strait.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.
Ten more days until Christmas, I know everyone has got their shopping done, house cleaned, and all the goodies have been baked. Now you can sit back, relax and enjoy the holiday season.

OK, where's the eggnog??? I'd like to see what those seeds turn into. CG, that was a "classic groaner" (your new nickname!) Taking a break from cleaning out the refrigerator. Had to make jello and take it to daughter at school, along with coffee beans, macaroni, gummi worms and More...

Plum, Happy Birthday to your Starr. (is her birthday actually the 15th or 16th?) I hope she has a good day despite being so busy. I'm feeling a little sentimental about daughters myself today as my oldest daughter Amy is celebrating her 41st birthday today (still the 15th here in FL!). Wow, it doesn't seem that long ago that I was her age!!
