Well, I was awakened much earlier than normal today. The sound of hammers, etc. awakened me at 8:05 am on a Sunday morning! That's because my neighbors are getting a new roof, complete with tear off and, at least some, new boards. And of course the workers started at the end of their house More...

Lizzy G - The change occurs at midnight, Sydney time. But if you are still on the previous day's page, the comment will appear there. Go to the top of this page and click on 'Archive'. When the Archive page comes up, click on 01/Aug/2015 and go to the last post of that day... I left you a message there. It's dated with today's date.

After a few nice days with low humidity, we are heading into ''scorcher range'' again. Oh, well. It IS August, after all. And, at least we aren't into triple digits. Close, but not quite!

everyone. How many of you current posters remember the clever poems Rayray used to post on Sudoku? Way back in 2007, he wrote one about Counting Sheep. You can find it in his Photo Gallery, sixth row from the bottom on the far right. When I saw a cute fuzzy sheep one day while More...

Right now my project of the week is sewing a Hawaiian shirt for hubby. It looked like a simple few pieces pattern. What I didn't take into account was the material design and the pattern instructions! After a half a week, all I've managed was the front and back with the yoke are sewn together. My piece de resistance is that I've sewn two pockets matching the background design!

Yeah, the roofers in our area get started early around here, shortly after 7am if there's been a bad storm in the last year. BUT! I don't recall seeing crews working on Sundays. Even on our roof there were a few 'last things' to be addressed, and they waited until Monday.

Silverteen joined me on this morning's run. She made it to 2 miles, and I covered 3. After Friday's 5 mile run, I took a break yesterday. Today, the shorter distance at a faster pace was welcome. We plan to run ColorMeRad together in the fall - we've done it twice before.
