Well, that's what happens when a couple of new mothers are otherwise occupied.

Good Evening everyone. My family and I are snuggled up tonight watching a movie. Thought I'd sneak in a quick game and say hello. Supposed to break into the 50's (F) tomorrow. It's been unseasonably cold all year.

Perth had a taste of summer yesterday.. a hot 36.9C.
A humid 27C is expected today.

Rolanda, the extremes of temperature are unbelievable at the moment. We always watch Perth to see what sort of weather will be coming our way later in the week. Thanks for the warning. It must have been a shock to the system getting that hot so quickly.

I would just like to know what happened to Spring .... we had a few days here and there hints of Spring !!!
We still had the heater 'on' on Wednesday Morning.
Yesterday the AC got it's first airing for the season.

To continue the 'slow' theme - the sloes are heavy on the bushes and now is the time to get the Sloe Gin on the go. I actually make what I call "Sl'eau de Mo" made with sloes and Eau de Vie. I have some I made 11 years ago also a 'Confiture de Vieux Garçon' made about the same time - delicious, if strong, when spooned onto vanilla ice cream.

Evening all - safely back from the big smoke. Had a great weekend.

The opera at the Opera House was terrific - I just love Anthony Warlow, and the writers who change the lyrics for the "they're on the list" song are very clever. References to Kevin07, facebook, twitter, emails from Godwin Gresch, shock jocks...... (Sorry folks from outside OZ, those are all very local references).

Visited the Museum of Sydney on Saturday, some very interesting stuff there.

Took Mr P on the Circular Quay to Darling Harbour ferry, his first time, but I had done it with Keith and Lynne - it's a short trip but very pretty.

Mao's Last Dancer at the movies last night, followed by hot chocolate and shared dessert degustation plate at the Guylian chocolate store - yummm!

Today, a picnic at Clifton Park at a reserve on the harbour basically at Chowder Bay. Started off a bit drizzly but fined up by the time we left about 2.30.

Grandsons had a good old time in the playground, and mucking round with a football with Grandpa and Dad.

Daughter and I just relaxed and enjoyed the view and people watching.

The gluten free mud cake was a success, so now I'll send you the recipe, Mo. Wanted to check it was good before I did.

And that's it from me - just had to busy up the site a little seeing as it's been so slow today.

Also, Debby, got a friend to bring me a couple of packets of Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake from Hawaii. 4T is looking forward to me baking it!

That sounds like a wonderful weekend CP. I did that ferry ride with my grandson on Friday. We went to the Imax theatre to see 'Dinosaurs Alive'.
