In the good news I shared yesterday, we have baby grass! All that re-seeding I've done, covering it with top soil to prevent washout and keep birds away... I'm so thrilled! Photo of damaged lawn and sprouting grass uploaded to my gallery.

Oh, picking up others numbers again. There was Vici, now Shosho, and off to Queen Anne.

Oh, SilverGal, Man had a good way of putting grass seed down, in a hot spot. We had dirt brought in first, (we live on a rock), threw out grass seed, watered, then threw out corn feed, and the deer came and trampled it all down. No washout or bird spreading.

Then this year, he laid out sheets of grass. I don't understand that one.

The water doctor, called and rescheduled, yesterday. He was supposed to be here at 6:30, and was kind enough, to call after 7. Then the AC people came and gave our unit a shot of good stuff, and now, I might be a little cold. We got the estimate on a more EE unit, along with moving the unit to the More...

Now, to get my vehicle to the doctor and the girls their yearly visit and Man's check up, all our doctor's visits should be taken care of, until my turn in September.
I am really hoping, the car's visit, comes before the girl's visit. Nothing like, driving around in 100+ degree weather, with two people yelling in the backseat.

We have new ''grasslets'', too, Silvergal. I must confess, hubby is the groundskeeper in this family. He's like a new papa when that stuff starts to sprout.

I have a little over 24 hours before my girls return home, for a visit. It is so nice, that MIL will share my girls with me.
I am making bets, that is what is going to happen. Girls come home Friday evening, we go to library on Saturday and Sunday, possibly Monday, they return to More...

Silverguy's tried both in the backyard without success. The woman wins this one . ...Something tells me I'll be reseeding the backyard next. It won't be with centipede grass, that's for sure.

See if you can figure out the words in this 'pyramid' using the hints given below. Each new word contains the same letters as the previous word, plus a new letter. Order need not be preserved.

2) Rubidium
3) Ban
4) Clear
5) Type of More...

I took little boy and little girl to the park this morning. I left a sleeping Elijah a note about are whereabouts. He's still a year away from being a teen but is practicing some of the stereotypical traits of that age frame.

I feel like I'm wasting the summer away. I just can't get motivated to organized to do typical summer things. I'll regret that in a few months.

There was a time, when I loved doing yard work. But Man's way of doing things, and the right way to do things, are two different things. He does have nice results and he is so proud of every, single strand of grass.

Don't feel alone, Serena, I have less than 4 weeks, to go through the girls clothes, again, and see what goes and what stays and what is needed for school. Have I ever mentioned, how much I dislike going through clothes and shopping. Though, I do not mind shopping online. I am hoping that MIL will More...

All three of them, shop alike. It kills me. On two occasions, they spent hours shopping and only came home with one item each. Man also has the patient, to watch them try on each and every article of clothing they touch. Really, cannot complain, well much anyway, they all have great taste.

Well, I'm proud to have received some chunks, but can't use them. Due to California's severe drought conditions, water restrictions are forcing us to let our lawn die. Sad to see it all yellow and brown. We are trying to keep the flowerbeds watered enough so the established bushes don't die, but not even sure if we'll be able to do that.

I fear drought more than floods. Maybe it's because floods are over quickly and drought takes weeks, months, or even years to alleviate.

Thank you, Jerry. That is one of my favorite movies, and a person, I like to watch and now, that song is in my head, I think I know all the words to it.
I should, that was one of the first records, I ever had and I played it over and over and over. Would have played it over again, but by that time, Mom was tired of it and told me to turn it off.

Keith, you can have the rain we are getting today. Started as a drizzle earlier now a steady rain. With only a temp of 65F it is more than cool. Debating if I need to go find some long pants and a jacket for when we go out today.
