I have had 5 responses to yesterday's puzzle, but I will re-post it for those who might still want to try it. Three responses were correct and two were missing a few answers, so if those who missed a few want to keep trying, feel free. I will also post a short puzzle for anyone to try.

Re-post:

1. Believing something is true without knowing if it is true –> starting to read a book that you laid aside a few days ago
2. There were a total of 31 British comedy movies made in this series –> this female artist’s painting ‘Autumn in France’ hangs in Canada’s National More...

Short puzzle for today:

1. The basic rhythmic structure of a verse or lines in verse –> when a court judge gives out a sentence by measure
2. This former British woman won the singles championship at Wimbledon in 1977 –> a soft plug used to retain a powder charge in a More...

This short puzzle will be my last puzzle for several weeks, as I have trouble sitting at the computer for any length of time. I injured my back badly and have a bruised spine and several bruised ribs. While I am being treated three times a week, I have been advised that it could be another 4 to 6 weeks before I am back to normal. C'est la vie!

They actually make weird noises - I tried to find a clear sound for you with little success. It's sort oflike a drumming. The males and females make different sounds.

I struggle with back issues also. Sitting at computer does not help. Take care of yourself.

I hit that by accident. Sorry Keith.

Greg, you need an iPad or mini IPad. I sit in my comfortable chair and play. It helped me get back to the sudoku site.

I am finally almost awake. It has been a long sleepy last 5 days.
My surgery took a long time, did not get back home until 10:30 Wednesday night.

Rotator cuff repair surgery is not fun and it is painful. I love my pills they take most of the pain away.

Greg, how many times do I have to tell you? You are passed the skate-boarding and sky-diving age!!

Hope you have a quick recovery.

And the same for you, Sue.

Greg, take it easy, give your back time to heal.

Sue and Greg - you poor things. There is nothing worse than being in constant pain! Sue hope the surgery works and it is all worth it.

Sue, I am so happy you've 'awakened' from your surgery ...been missing you. The success of most surgeries is the hard work afterwards to regain use; be patient with the healing first, though & enjoy those meds so you can return to gardening. Wanted to tell you what a lovely close-up photo of yours, a Calla blossom, appeared on yesterday's Tough.
23/Jun/14 4:36 AM

Greg, you too be patient with the healing process - back to normal is the goal! ...even though the rest of us will be impatiently waiting for your weekend puzzles to resume!

Sue and Greg, I do hope you two, have a speedy, successful recovery.
Though, the thought of sleeping for a week, with drugs, sounds like heaven, but not what you have to go through, to be able to do that.

Having lots of memories, flood my head today. Good ones.
One is Grandma memories. Oh, how I miss that woman's soft, cold hands, that always smelled of roses. Her hands were always cold, I loved it.
Before she died, she gave me, two jewelry boxes, that I never really looked in before, today. More...
