Good Evening to everyone. We took a short trip to the UP (Upper Penninsula.) Well....actually it was a long trip! We put over 1,000 miles on our van, but it was beautiful and I hope to have pictures posted in a few days. We visited a lighthouse, the Shipwreck Museum and Copper Harbor. I enjoy going, but I always enjoy coming home to my own bed!!!!

Scott and I went for a bike ride in the Morton
Arboretum - the fall colors are not quite in yet -
I enjoy the long winding DOWN HILL rides after the inclines

I have enjoyed this youtube so much - the baby dancing at the table to Single Ladies -- just love that little B-hind bopping to the beat

Slow day here on site. Very yucky, windy and cold day in Canberra. I was out doorknocking for a charity and I'm sure it was snowing. Not big fat flakes, but light sleet that was swirling and flurrying through the air. Home now, in my jammies, and going to climb into bed and watch TV - will probably fall asleep long before I turn it off!

Anne, thank you. Steven and I have just visited Northern Australia through your lovely photos. You are much braver than I am, going in those tiny planes. It takes all my courage to get on a big one, as you know.

Many years ago, I read some books about that part of the world by somebody named Idreiss (I think).
From memory they were to do with the conflict between the aboriginals living there and the first white settlers. They read as very authentic chronicles.
