Same old going on here. I'm reluctantly getting myself psyched up to do an hour on my exerciser then to do the weight exercises. At least I did get a round about compliment yesterday. My niece was trying to use my shoulder to rest her head, struggled and gave up, saying I was to hard and bony to be a pillow!

Well, she did stay awake (after partying around the previous night) to watch the parade on tv. I am glad I kept her awake to see all the floats. I am glad all the last two weeks of working out with weights worked and my muscles are no longer as soft as a pillow!

Ok, no more excuses, off I go!

One of my Christmas gifts was a Sudoku day-to-day calendar. On the back of each page is a short word puzzle, joke, bit of trivia, or helpful hint. I would like to share them with all of you, but please don't bother to send me answers. I will post answer from the day before (if there is one) with the next day's tidbit.

I've seen all three movies mentioned, and enjoyed them all. Avatar is the best of the three, and I enjoyed The Blind Side more than Sherlock, but they were all good.

Jan. 2/3 was a Word Search Puzzle which I won't bother to type in here!!

I have seen Sherlock and Blind Side. Liked Blind Side the best. Also have seen Up In The Air - wonderful movie!
Won't pay money to see Avatar - will catch it on the movie channels when it gets there.
Have not been a fan of James Cameron since his acceptance for the Oscar for Titanic (still More...

Got conned into seeing Avatar this coming week with my niece and nephew. Since I have movie gift cards, I guess I'll be treating them. Got to do it before one goes back to Sacramento and the other to Japan!

Both have told me that Avatar is a "must see movie" on big screen and in 3-d.

They're coming is clusters these last Year of the Rat 2008 photos! And just as we tail end the Year of the Ox!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....it is COLD here. And it's going to be cold for the next few days. The lows will be in the upper 20s. Eek! Just covered some of our more tender plants. Looks like my 3-year-old impatiens will finally bite the dust!

It is 78* and sunny here, and we just returned from a long walk with the doggies around a local lake. There a LOT of negatives involved with living in Southern California, but, on days like this, they are easily ignored ...

Hello everyone, thats a very cute rat. A sad time for both Mo,there is still hope yet and Betty you did the right thing for your beloved Dexter. Judy if you could send a little ray of sunshine this way please I'm sick of this rain we had about 2hrs of sunshine Thurs and an hr yesterday.

The sunshine is all packed up and on its way to you, Amelia. I sent it Fed Ex, so the cute hunk in the little brown shorts will deliver the package to your door ...

I'm actually not complaining. We have a toasty fire going in the fireplace, and just two nights ago we were on the beach watching the full moon rise in 70 degree weather. This cold snap is just a minor inconvenience - even though it's supposed to last four or five days. Maybe I'll get some long-delayed chores done. (Hah!!!)

I play almost every day and I play the same way each time. I put all of the outside puzzle pieces on the left side of the puzzle and pile up the interior pieces on the right side. When I have all of the exterior pieces arranged there is one pile of interior pieces on More...

Back from the movies, I usually don't care for this type of movie but have to admit it was good.

mwigle, all the puzzles here or on jigsaw will do this. Guess it is the program the Gath has for the puzzles.

Morning - have turned on the cricket for Mr P to watch, and I'm waiting for te washing to finish so I can hang it out. Quiet day for me planned - not feeling 100% today. Good excuse to snuggle up and read my book, a new one "Too Many Murders" by Colleen McCullough (Thorn Birds, but many other great novels).

Drizzling in Sydney, so cricket start is delayed.

Grumbling here - there are chocolate Easter Eggs for sale already in the shops, probably Hot Cross Buns too!!!

I think that's worse than Christmas decorations in September!

We Aussies don't have the distractions of Halloween and Thanksgiving to make the shops hide the Christmas stuff until at least November.
