I agree, Jane. State schools make getting a higher education much more affordable and you aren't saddled with huge student loans to pay off over many years. College courses are available online and there are day and evening classes at community colleges, etc. If there's a will, there's a way!

André's higher education question: both my parents were teachers, so college graduates. We were a middle income family, but they fully expected me to go on to college, which I did. I only could afford the less expensive State college. The high powered Universities were out of the question, financially. The State college gave me all I needed.
