saylz - can only find the forecast for the Sunshine coast up until Friday - highs only about 21.

Hope it gets warmer for you next week, but August is when we get our westerlies and the last of winter. By September, temps are warming up nicely.

Rolanda - I seem to remember when I headed west, almost 2 years ago (in Sept) - it was freezing!! I have never been so cold. That day when we met up with Mary and Billy - oh sooooo cold!
The West was beautiful nonetheless, and one day I'll get back there!
Hi Anne - I still use my Dylan's cup - and I've got to say it was warmer in Albany than in Perth.

Believe Canberra is destined for 0 to 10C tomorrow. Yay!!

AS I've said previously, we have friends at Coolum but have never been up there at this time of the year. Even 21C will be welcome after a Hobart winter. We're staying at "The Point" where we usually stay, so we won't lack anything for comfort.

It was a cold windy day CynB, September can ( usually ) be worse than a noice spring type Winter's Day in August.

Wow, super slow here today. I'll trade all of you weather-wise. Had a wildfire in the metro area this afternoon...makes it tough when biking, breathing in smoky air. Rain has moved in, so hopefully they'll have it all contained tonight.

Hello Cyn - of course it was warmer here. Remember the beautiful day we had touring around Albany, then the helicopter ride Col and I went had over the Sound. Magic!

Well, Rolanda, we will have to rectify that and have a coffee/dinner at Dylans.
The restaurant you mentioned, Nonnas, is being refurbished and I don't think it will have the same appeal that it used to have. It's now going to be a bar/restaurant.
