simple pleasures, simple mind? maybe...

The wall coping-stones (final course) are all positioned but need bevelling. Each stone is huge and heavy. However we are suffering from the tail end of the Atlantic cyclone, so 'rain has stopped play' from later today.

My biggest problem these days is going to another room to fetch something, then, when I get there, clean forgetting what I came for.
I go back - remember what it was I forget - then repeat the whole process - of getting up; going; and forgetting - all over again. I supppose getting in and out of my chair is good exercise!

It is about 4am here and I can't sleep. The gale and driving rain are keeping me awake. Perhaps this whole building will blow away.

All the neigbourhood spiders are seeking sanctuary here from the rain. A huge one just jogged to under my mule-chest. Jogging spiders are grotesque.

I wonder if having eight legs is more - or less - efficient than only having two?

Rayray, I still have that (weather)to experience in the travel trailer (caravan) in which I'm living..

Sometimes, I have trouble keeping track of two feet.

It's getting dark. Time to feed the hounds & call it a day......

One of the few things I like about mobile phones is that you can feed in numbers you don't want to answer and it doesn't even ring. I've got one number where the people must be idiots. They keep ringing and when I was answering, they would just say they had a wrong number. Now I've More...

Scallop Fest was still on and the crumbed scallops were terrific.

Saylz, Scallop Fest sounds delicious. We had coral trout and prawns cooked on the barbie last night. It got a big thumbs up from my starving gym-going sons. It has been requested that I put it on the menu again for sometime next week.
I love it too because I'm not doing the cooking. I just get to make the salad.

Half an hour until I've finished my working week. I have to make the most of having tomorrow off work as I won't get another Friday off work until late October. To make matters worse, I have to work all of next weekend as well. 12 days straight!

Vicki - love 'em! So many I identify with. Sorry about having to work 12 days straight, yuk!
Saylz - you know Vicki, Broni and I from Brisbane but it's not us ringing you. If you ever find out who they are, tell them to stop their thick relatives in Sydney from ringing my mobile at least once a week!!!! It's always the same number - and, I agree, so annoying!!!

Victoria, you should have posted only one of these a day - it would have given us a chance to comment on each one individually and would have started a new theme on the site in the TFTD or riddle genre. You could have called it Victoria's Secrets!!! They were all very good and very appropriate to daily life! Got any more like that?
