Well, I did it. Just signed up for SM. Rosemary, I would like to join you in your quest for a healthier lifestyle. I'm soon turning 48 and have a history of diabetes in the family, had gestational diabetes with my last child, so I have to take better care of myself. Maybe with the support I will suceed.

I too had gestational diabetes with my babies and am in the grey area now of impaired glucose tolerance.
There are quite a lot of friends here on the site that are looking to achieve better health and fitness so we can support each other through the tough times.

back again (mum's now in bed) ... i had gestational diabetes too, tho with my first but not my second. having just had some leftover plum pudding tonight it's a bit sobering to be reminded of this! i think i should be reminded of it often however and the support from here will be a good thing.
