This may have been posted before, I have no time to read the earlier posts these days - your lovely heart-shaped tattoo will end up looking like a sun-dried tomato some day....!

NO tattoos for me rose... I would rather have more kids and go through labour than think of having lots of little needle poked into my skin so that I could have some body art.

now temporary tattoos are another issue, I don't mind temp tatts

Mickey, I'm with you on temporary tattoos. I've had lots of those, but probably never a real one. Daughter #2 has five tattoos and several piercings. We'll see how she ages. :)

I don't care for tattoos but son #2 and wife have them. My son has a dragon entwining his upper arm. He and his wife have the ancient Japanese gods, Izanami and Izanagi on their forearms.

Linda, I've been having the same problem with the birthday - I change it and the next time I go in to update my records it is in MMDDYY format - not the DDMMYY that I put in originally.

One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, and reads her book.

Along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside More...

Victoria, in your computer's control panel, you should be able to set your computer to display all dates in DD/MM/YY format. Look for something like ''Regional and Language Options.''

if you look at the date its DD/MM/YYYY you have to put in my case 1960 it takes 4 numerals

2:22 Good Afternoon all.
Veronica and I have been out on errands today - first to the chiropractor and then to the baby health clinic to get Veronica weighed. She has put on another 110grams in 8 days. Still nothing to write home about but in the right direction.

Regarding the date.
Whenever I update my details, even though the date appears DD/MM/YYYY on the screen when I click 'update details' it comes back 'incorrect date' because it has changed itself to MM/DD/YYYY
So I re'enter it. No good doing it before clicking update as it still comes back the More...

No tatts here even though I was a matelot.

A couple of funny incidents though, I got hauled in by the cops and they asked me if I had any distinguishing marks like tattoos etc. I told them I had no tattoos but they didn't believe me and stripped me to make sure - the joys of being a More...

Driving home from work just now (5:00pm) I noticed a 'halo' in the sky formed by the sun shining through the clouds so as soon as I got home I grabbed my camera and took some photos and have posted one on my page. If anyone is interested in seeing it.

Anne - unusual photo. I just had a look at your flickr site. Your not bad with the old box Brownie!!! I got to Albany once in about 1969, don't remember much 'cept that the pubs were orright.

The locals got a bit upset when we Eastcoasters pronounced Al-bany as Awlbury.

Awlbany!!!

Hello Hugh, the pubs are probably still alright but they're not my scene although there are a few good ones.
Actually, I have a box Brownie that belonged to my father but I think I may have a bit of trouble buying film for it these days.

Thanks for looking at the photos. I enjoy taking them and sharing them.

Hugh - P.S. I also lived in Albany in 1969, moving here in 1965.
And you are right, it is pronounced ALBANY not Awlbany.

em - angie have 'awful' songs??? I think not, she has the bestest taste, like me.

Hugh - just a thought...what did you get hauled in for? Or can't it be divulged on a family site?
05/Apr/07 8:37 PM

Billy - did you just say a 'family site'. Jeepers, I didn't realise that and to think of all the dirty jokes I've submitted of the past 18mths or so!!!

Now that I'm in Oz, I never seem to have time (or energy) to check in. The long Easter weekend gave me a bit more time, so Happy Easter and/or Passover, plus happy spring to those in the Northern hemisphere (even the ones getting snow--brrr!). It seems very strange to have Easter in the fall, but it's still warmer here than it is in early April in rural New York.
