It's a bowling morining for me - always enjoy the morning with the girls - and then -- the day is open - my microwave died this morning - the vacumn has not been replaced as of yet -- maybe a walk in the park as I debate on the new equipment I need More...

I am working - a regular 10 hour night shift not a double tonight.

Plum, thank you for your kind words the other morning.

Marianne - thank you also for your expressed indignation at the hours we medical sorts are sometimes required to work. You're right - it's not right, nor is it safe. My dilemma is always that if i don't work the double when required, the unit is seriously shortstaffed, and because we are so busy lately, being short staffed and overworked is also when mistakes happen..

Morning, Kathy. Are you off to tennis?

Way to go CP!! Had to get up early this morning to feed the 10 puppies before the dishwasher repairman got here - then he told us it is DEAD! Ugh.

Jamie it is the season. My new bottom of the range is fine so far, touch wood and all that.
Mymare, I can live quite happily without a microwave (I use a Turbo Halogen Oven for everything) as to the vacuum cleaner I now have 2 - a cheap lightweight one for upstairs and my old one for downstairs, More...

That should clarify 'bottom of the range dishwasher'

While on the subject of useful househod goods. I bought in a sale a steam mop. I already have a Polti steam cleaner but this mop is so useful and quick to use.

Househod did not show up on my spell check I wonder what it means.

Today is the sort of day that makes the sweltering weather of summer fade from memory! There is a cool breeze and lots of sunshine with perfect temps and no humidity! Today I live in paradise and the sweat of summer is forgotten!

Beautiful Fall day here, too, Glenn!

My world has gone silent - a sure sign that the workmen have gone for the day. I shall go take a peek as I must get to the store or Jasper will be on a diet.

GannieMo - the serviceman strongly recommended getting a mid- to low-range dishwasher with manual controls. Nobody uses all the bells and whistles, and the manual controls have fewer problems and are cheaper to fix if they do need it.

Good Morning World....Nice fall day here also, but my city is rather glum...My Phillies failed in their quest to repeat their Baseball Championship....and the city transit operators are on strike for the second day...traffic nightmares for all having to work, shop or conduct any type of business in More...

Hubby steps into the post office for a full three minutes this morning, to return and find someone has hit his car and driven off. Why? Because we need to spend money on stuff like this.

2:10 Maen! Cute kid...

Cathy - ask around if the PO or any surrounding buildings or streets have security cameras that may have caught the "dent and run." We're near a small town, but there are still lots of security cams in use there.
