Could i ask some input? My sister's dog had a litter of puppies on Valentines Day. She names them while she has them, some keep the name, some don't. She is looking for romantic/Valentines sounding names for the pups. They are Golden Retrievers, 5 males, 4 females. She doesn't go for More...

A cop stops a car for traveling faster than the posted speed limit. He asks the man his name. 'Fred,' he replies.

'Fred what?' the officer asks. 'Just Fred,' the man responds. The officer is in a good mood, doesn't smell alcohol, and thinks he might just give the fellow a break and write More...

WARREN: Wow, those are some pretty serious changes being proposed. I hope that all goes well for you during the strike. Is compromise possible on some of the issues?
 |  |

Very cool, my avatar has been approved! I looked for a glass of wine, then a happy face but couldn't get it to size right. This worked the first time, go figure!

Cheers!

Compromise is the only solution, but I think George Bush is our president. It seems whatever he believes is right is the only option available.

The Great Game of Golf

Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by the occasional miracle, followed by a good bottle of beer.

Golf! You hit down to make the ball go up. You swing left and the ball goes right. The lowest score wins. And on top of that, More...

I learned to drive in a '51 Chevrolet carryall at 14. my 1st car was an older VW deisel Dasher. I bought it for $2000.00 US in Dallas TX, drove it via Los Angeles to Seattle on $80.00 gas. Loved the car but couldn't import it to Canada without paying a horrible duty on it so sold in Seattle for More...

Hi all! Bluey in Port Kembla asked if my avatar was a shrunken postage stamp, and no it is not, but it does resemmble the flag on our postage stamps. As such, I have requested a new one. When it's approved (shrink of a former picture on the site), let me know if you like the new one (Kermode bear) or the Canadian flag. I like both!

I learned to drive in a Hillman Minx 66 model. First car a EH Holden 64. Now drive an Alfa 159 V6.

Judy,

Keep smiling.

Hi nal,

I'm with you only it should be a 71 vette T top.
 |  |

First car: I drove the ''old'' family car, 1963 Studebaker Lark. H on the column. No radio, brought my own. Dad used it to do land surveying, hard use, field driving, and large feet had left it with a hole in the floorboard. On a weekend trip to an ''extablishment'', one of my classmates More...

CG
love the bear but the flag was you too.
did that help!

Nothing exciting about the car I learned to drive in or my first car. I am more excited and love the car I have now. My very first brand new car. A Suzuki Liana Sedan, dark blue, automatic and all mine...no sharing!!!
 |  |

LK
love your avatar also, very clever with the smiley face.
 |  |

CG, I like both your avitars, I have a soft spot for Polar bears though.
Rob, check out the 74 Vette T top on my flickr site.

First cars? When I was 14 I paid a neighbour $20.00 for an old Pontiac. Don't remember what kind of car it was, but it was a standard and only had 3rd gear and reverse. Gary (my neighbour) put it in my driveway while I was at school. I got home, was excited, had never driven in my life, got in, More...

And guess what, my father was really pis--d!

CG - I think I would like your bear better from the front end rather than the rear view!!

Can anyone suggest a website where I might go to find a pic for my avatar. I'm thinking maybe a tennis ball or racquet, but I can't find one.
 |  |
I learned to drive a 1964 Volkswagen Bug. When I got married, our first car was a 60's vintage VW Bug. I still favor German cars, but my husband's favorite car is his 2006 Ford Mustang GT convertible.
 |  |

Sorry Kathy. I only have a site where you can shrink a picture ,,, http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/

Maybe you can go to a tennis site, find a ball, and (lord help me) shrink it. Now are there obvious thoughts to that suggestion?
