16:01. My first hard sudoku.
 |  |
Beautiful photo.

Some view alright! Almost as good as being there. That yellow bush wouldn't be gorse would it? I think New Zealand has trouble with it too. It takes a lot of work to get rid of it as it has thousands of seeds, grows readily and has very few predators of the chomping variety. Not even the possums in N.Z.(pest Tasmanian variety) find it too tasty.

mAen all - a grand reward for my fastest time for hard puzzle. Hey - who hid my cleaning stuff?
 |  |

Rocks and rills and rolling hills; yellow flowers, blue skies, a feast for the eyes; wispy clouds, water serene, fingers of pines, many shades of green. God's beauty revealed, my soul is healed.

Where did that lovely verse come from, CHRIS? It is very similar to the second verse of ''America'' (''My Country 'Tis of Thee''):

My native country, thee,
land of the noble free, thy name I love;
I love thy rocks and rills,
thy woods and templed hills;
my heart with rapture thrills, like that above.

Good afternoon to all! Nice photo. Well done Eugene! The more you play, the easier they get.

So pretty, green and nice and cool. Thanks for the lovely photos Rosemary.
Welcome to Sunday here, over 38 degrees (100F), a disgustingly hot blowy northerly, total fire ban. Blah. Off to play Scrabble all day.
Have a good one, whereever you are.

The verse was my response to the beautiful scene in the picture. The 'rocks and rills' was lifted from 'My Country 'Tis of Thee'. The landscape has all the elements I love -- water, stone, mountains (or hills), flowers, blue skies.

still travelling around NZ, hope you dont mind sharing the photos.
superb view from the top of the castle grounds.

The yellow gorse is everywhere in NZ, worse on the west coast. It does also acts as a protective barrier from the winds and erosion along the coast. I think about the only things that eat it are goats.
cheers
