Pow-wows make for colorful sights and shows, but can anyone enlighten me as to how realistic reproductions of the traditional native North American indians' festivities they really are?

There are a lot of 19th century pictures in gov't archives: http://www.archives.gov/research/native-americans/pictures/ Most are in black and white, though.
