Can't set anybody straight, because I don't know. But...

There are a lot of 19th century pictures in gov't archives: http://www.archives.gov/research/native-americans/pictures/ Most are in black and white, though.

Who knows? Maybe the full dress regalia was the equivalent of More...

From this distance I might recognize a Nokia, but surely not an iPod or a Blackberry :-)

For a quick answer, see "School is Hell" series of cartoons by ? (the name of the artist escapes me at the moment - the characters resemble bunnies with just a single pointy ear, they were popular in the 80s - Matt Groening or something like that).
