I have found that today's tough puzzle is suitable for continuing the tutorial on Y Wing Styles.

A link to yet another new blog page should appear in the upper right hand column, under 'Check Out the Sudoku Blog'.

Cool.. Pretty interesting to see what people do when they die in different parts of the world. Pyramids, spirit houses, crypts, urns, graves... Just goes to show you...... everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die.

Good morning to all! Spirit houses are not tombs, they are 'guest houses' (for lack of a better word. They are commonly seen in most countries where Buddism is practiced. Their purpose (I think) is to provide a shelter and resting place for spirits that wander the earth, and to attract good spirits that can bless families, good crops, health, etc.

Hi all. I seemed to have lost my original comment so here goes again - Go to the top of the class Greg, you are absolutely correct - it is not a cemetery. The photos were taken in Bangkok and this is a Spirit House factory. Every home in Bangkok has a Spirit House in its garden and this is where they are made.

A san phra phum in Thai (ศาลพระภูมิ). I was lucky enough to spend 5 weeks in Thailand over Xmas, staying with the locals. Beautiful country, beautiful people.

Once I filled in all the possibilities, and started with the lone cell with just 1 candidate the puzzle just solved itself! Why is this classified as hard?

8:19 - It took less time for me for the Hard than the medium today. How lucky the spirits that live in one of those houses! How lucky we are to live in a culture that doesn't have to spend so much money on a headstone!
