given it's kemical komposition,why doesn't water burn
 |  |
8:59 Things are going swimmingly today. Now for the tough.
 |  |
3:15 using NinDigi
Since 'burning' is (very) rapid oxidation, it seems logical to think of water as the end result of hydrogen burning. Or is there another explanation?
 |  |
4:25 that's more like it. where is everyone tonight (11.56pm on 1/2/06) or today depending on where you are.

2:56 after setup - good MAEN, all. The kangaroos are cute - don't we always love seeing things that we otherwise wouldn't?

Just substitute bears for the kangaroos and this could look like a scene here in Northwest NJ!

MAEN everyone! I miss all the great people on this site. I've no time for sudoku now -- it's tax season in the US; I'm working about 70 hours a week. The ol' gray mare ain't what she used to be --- it seems all I have time for now is essential things like sleeping, eating, and laundry! I'm also doing some major home remodeling, so the house is really torn up! Love to all, Jean

isn't setup part of solving? or can you solve in under 3 without any setup?
 |  |
7:58! Good time and boy was that an easy one. Love the Roos! On to tough
 |  |
Hey, all - first time I've actually had something to say.
Water doesn't burn because burning is the process of oxidation (as SJG said) - water is hydrogen in its maximally oxidized state. Higher oxidation state generally = more stable, so it takes energy input to move things to a less oxidized More...

Do they wait for an invitation, or like some other animals of my acquaintance, do they come when they feel like it?

7:07 minutes total, 4:55 setup, so 2:12 solving time.

TYOTA = the year of the acronym

'down with English, communicate with numbers'

New Luddite revised Bible

'Site' lost an 'e' & turned into 'sit' in my excitement.

Another advantage of abreviated communications: the absent 'e' never would have been missed with only initials.
