I don't know whether it is clear or not, but Cowra is in NSW and it was a place where Japanese POW were imprisoned. The was a fairly famous breakout and several prisoners as well as guards were killed. I will see if I can google it to check the details.

The Japanese gardens at Cowra is a place of true beauty and a fitting commemoration to those who died.

Hey Joann, went through Cowra just last week from Dubbo to coast. Great place. We used to live at Koorawatha! Proud of 17 mins to do the sud. Maybe it was an easy one!!!
